Just been in my local off license (the one RE sometimes do). There was a new member of staff training and while I was browsing, the manager was telling her all about Mystery Shoppers, and explaining that last time the shop got a good report (I did it I think!) and that you can tell the Mystery Shopper because they always spend ages browsing and then ask for a receipt. So I spent ages browsing, and then when she'd rung my goods up said "Can I have a receipt for these please?"

You should have seen the look of horror on the manager's face!

    LOL Fantastic

How . Think there's a tip for everyone - get one of those free sims, put it in an old phone and give them that number rather than giving them your actual personal number. Can you mention their persistance in the questionaire ?

I just changed the last digit in my mobile number. I think going forward I'll change the last 3.

As I read it, they are only subject to the DPA if they are registered in the UK or they process data in the UK. I believe they're based in Belgium for Europe?

I think they have a UK office. The last email I received from Bare was signed by the UK and Scandinavian team, and I *think* I once got a phonecall from someone in the UK. But I accept that having a UK office doesn't necessarily mean they are registered here.

Nevertheless, I think it was wrong of Bare to share our details without at the very least informing us first. I mean, even if they couldn't be bothered to email us, they could have put a notice up on their own website to tell us what they were doing and warn us we might get an email from this other company.

I added a chicken job through gap last night but I can't find details on it anywhere. Searched under my assigments etc and nothing there. Does this mean I didn't complete it correctly and don't have the job ? Sorry, first time trying for a gap job...

    Can anyone help ?

With gap you tick on the left to add to your basket. Then go to your basket and submit. You then should go to My Assignments and see the assignment there as Pending. Click refresh and it should show as Approved. If it's not there you haven't got it. It's happened to me before, I assumed 2 of us had selected at the same time.

    Better luck next time :)

I'd go further personally and say it was wrong (at least morally if maybe not legally) to do it without our express consent.

Ditto to that - I meant to post a few days ago - I had a call asking me to do a job (couldn't do it due to exams unfortunately). Thanks HP!
