Rule 10, "money begets money" - when you have money, it makes money. It is apparently important to understand compound interest. Well I suppose that works when you are a borrower or a lender. This chapter suggesta you put money aside to "breed". Well we all know you shouldn't do that when you are paying interest on current debts, so that rule can go on the backburner- for now.unsecured Debts at [strike]August 2007 £79,984[/strike] September £79,579 [STRIKE]Snowballing date July 2013[/STRIKE].

Rule 11 (yes I am flying through them, as some are quite samey) "if you see money as a solution, you will find it becomes a problem. This is about people thinking being rich makes you thin and happy? It is also about money not solving relationship problems. I am not so sure about this, the stress of debt makes some people's relationships very rocky. Coupled with the pleasure of being able to take your family to nice places, sure it doesn't make a poor marriage good, but it will make a good marriage a happier place to be.unsecured Debts at [strike]August 2007 £79,984[/strike] September £79,579 [STRIKE]Snowballing date July 2013[/STRIKE].

OOOh I am so pi**ed off with the nasty west. I have sent them plenty of correspondence about our DMP, they have not responded other than to keep saying they haven't received details (funny nobody else saying this) numerous extra copies have ben sent, and I have sent a response myself to the numerous letters I have had from them, giving them more detail of the reasons for our problems. Just now, another letter stating they are "disappointed to note that you have failed to make contact". What the heck do they want, shall I move in with them?????unsecured Debts at [strike]August 2007 £79,984[/strike] September £79,579 [STRIKE]Snowballing date July 2013[/STRIKE].

Right, don't allow that sick feeling in your tummy to develop. I have emailed the letters to payplan and asked them to sort it out.
Funny how they can just bring your mood right down with one letter. swines.unsecured Debts at [strike]August 2007 £79,984[/strike] September £79,579 [STRIKE]Snowballing date July 2013[/STRIKE].

Hi KJ.
PMing sounds good now I’ve worked out that Gordon Brown won’t be involved – my own mini LBM at 4am.
Rule about Money begetting Money. Unfortunately my savings are currently celibate and are begetting bu**er all.
NatWest not receiving mail. Would any of these help?
· Send everything again via Next Day Signed For Delivery from Royal Mail. Costs about a fiver but can be tracked and use to prove delivery.
· Scan documents and attach to an email. Send with delivery and read receipts on.
· Scan documents and attach to an email. Phone customer services, ask for that person’s email address because NatWest have lost all paper copies and require duplicates and make the person hold on while you hit send. Ask them to email you straight back to confirm receipt, you’re happy to keep holding.
· Take a copy of everything you want them to have into your nearest NatWest Branch. Keep the envelope open and have 2 copies of a typed inventory of contents. Get the clerk to check the contents in front of you, sign and date both copies of the inventory. You leave the envelope with them and take a signed inventoried receipt home.
It would be so much easier if they simply said “We got it but we just can be !!!!!d doing anything with it.”:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Ohhhh theres plenty more dross where that can from! I am so tempted to fast forward to chapter 32, "small economies won't make you wealthy, but they will make you miserable", ohhh I can see it now, that IS the chapter my OH will agree with, and then ask for a takeaway! I think this one will create some debate!
Any way, haven't you some carpenting for a climbing frame to finish!!!
Hi Miss KJ ..just catching up.That books sounds really interesting and am in clined to agree with the above comment.I also agree with the money making more money(breeding)..I've decided to take a fresh outlook as well on things as I think I'm doing things wrong ..must look back through your diary for the name of the book again.
Glad you've come up with the solution to the house problem as well.:T:T:T0 -

Gee thanks all, you are so kind.
Kissjenn, you are so right, I need to regain my "bull-by-the-horns attitude" with nasty west rather than letting it get me down. Apparently they decided to ring my house whilst mum was babysitting today, twice in 2 minutes, different people . She told them when to ring, so we will see, I am ready for them, barrels loaded!;)
Taxi, it is called "The rules of wealth" by Richard Templar, but don't buy it, when I have finished my critique, if you still want it, I will post it to you. I don't think I will be doing a chapter today, as I need to prep for my interview tonight, ready, bright and breezy for tomorrow. People at work (well my managers) who know have been really lovely and supportive of me. :DThis has helped.unsecured Debts at [strike]August 2007 £79,984[/strike] September £79,579 [STRIKE]Snowballing date July 2013[/STRIKE].

Well, I waited for my call from nasty west. I am still waiting. I may have to unload the barrels, for tonight anyway. Perhaps they have found my letters!unsecured Debts at [strike]August 2007 £79,984[/strike] September £79,579 [STRIKE]Snowballing date July 2013[/STRIKE].

DD came home with letter from school about residential trip next year. Usually it is in January and costs £120. This time they want to go in June and costs soar to £300. Here is the head teachers logic:
Parents complained last year about paying for the trip over the 4 months up to Christmas, total £120, (letters only went out in september). So rather than have to pay from september to Decenmber "we" thought "we" would go in June allowing you more time to pay. But the cost is up to £300 for high season.
Hmmmmm. By my sums, if I save the £120 from now until November, I will need £25 per month then it is all paid. But if they go in June, I will have to save £27,27 every month from now until May? How does that help Christmas? These are school teachers? I am speechless????
Oh of course, it is nicer weather and teachers don't have to pay for themselves!
I have just written a letter. It includes words like "astronomical" and "dismayed". I feel sorry for the families who really aren't going to be able to raise this, I earn good money, but clearly we will struggle to find the extra. Poor kids who will miss out.unsecured Debts at [strike]August 2007 £79,984[/strike] September £79,579 [STRIKE]Snowballing date July 2013[/STRIKE].
