Out of interest ~ the hosts file is COMPRESSED. Have you uncompressed it first?

No I haven't uncompressed it how do I do that.

I have tried updating MALWAREBYTES but I can't I get the following message -
Update failed. Make sure you are connected to the internet and your firewall is set to allow Malwarebytes'Anti-Malware to access the internet.

Something must be set wrong on your computer

Download WINRAR (make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')
Then open the file and winrar should auto uncompress it

Right click the icon in the right hand bottom panel
select 'VIEW CONTROL CENTER'
'STATISTICS/LOGS' then VIEW LOGS

I already had WINRAR but I downloaded it again anyway. I still can't update the program's though.

I have just managed to download HostsXpert in Firefox. When I click Restore Microsoft's Hosts File and then click OK I get an ERROR: Cannot create fileC:\windows\system32\DRIVERS\ETC\hosts
