I took a stainless steel frying pan to a boot sale earlier this year, it was the type that everytime used it took ages to clean the food off!!
I gave it a good polish! a woman picked it up and said 'I could do with a new frying pan, the food always sticks to mine, does this one stick?' 'no' I said and off she toddled with her new pan.:eek:0 -
Did really well today made £160 .Sold a car jack for £10 first thing and people never turned back up for it after they asked me to hold on to it.Just putting it in my car and next doors stall holder offered me £15:eek::eek::eek:0

I did one yesterday, and had a ton of stuff to take. Our loft is full to bursting.
Everyone was moaning that it was really quiet, and the guy next to me (trader) said he'd only done £16!
I was really pleased to do £161 and get rid of some of the bigger items that I took. I was asking ridiculously low prices for some things, because I just didn't want to take them home.
If I can do that much every week till the end of summer, I'll be really chuffed!0 -
I made £107 at the Newbury Racecourse carboot and apparently that was slow. However knowone haggled, so I think I could have sold things for more (new Monsoon bags for £3!).
My worst carboot I made £10, it rained really heavily, soaked my clothes so badly I had to tumble dry everything the next day. No fun at all.If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
Ooh I'm loving these carboot naughties!! Who else has lied in order to desperately flog something??

Not a terrible lie but I was about 14 at a carboot with my Mum and was flogging a kareoke machine which worked, but I broke the microphone. Last item to flog and eventually found someone who wanted it but was, understandably concerned as to whether it really worked or not. Assured him it did, he asked if I'd be back at the next car boot. Of course I would be! (NOT)
Then he told me that if it didn't work he'd find me next week cos he'd never forget a pair of..... I'll leave you to fill in the blanks  Am glad I wasn't at the next one!I love surprises!0 -
