I have never made a fortune! it depends where you do them some people won't pay anything!! I do enjoy doing them a couple of times a year though just to maybe get a bit of money for what I could have chucked out!!
Our School has one every month as a fund raiser (table top not car boot) it takes a lot of organising but sometimes we can make nearly £1000 on pitches/entrance and refreshments.:j
Makes me laugh though what some people try to sell, and they turn up every month with the same ols rubbish!!

£280 - I had loads of kids stuff, lego, scalectric, cars, superheoroes, car seat etc and couldn't believe it when I added it up at the end. Hubby moaned at me taking such rubbish as an old dog gaurd, bits of wire fencing etc and these were the first to go!0

Worst - Didnt even take the Gate money
Best - 3K, but I did have a load of antiques to shift and other high item goods.0 -
Best - £120
Worst - £65 this weekend. Sunday turned out colder than what I thought. I always find a hot sunny Sunday always makes lots of money, as people want to get out and do something cheap.
Was freezing on Sunday and wanted to get home, however have enough stuff for a 2nd one, so am hoping another £120 will come my way :rotfl:Is a sufferer of SAD, so don't blame me, blame the depressing English weather!!!:beer:0 -
Hubby made £100 this weekend, but did have a good sort out of kids toys and haven't done one for about a year. Hubby doens't take any messing with the people who try to get things for ridiculous prices though -says he would rather give it away to a charity shop than them! Worst I made was £12 but this was a local church fete type thing and didn't have many people turn up at all.0

My best is about £180.
My worst is when I was too late to get into the best one, so went off to another car boot. Sold a lawnmower for about £20, and it cost me about £8 for an entrance fee.0 -
