Freesat problems

You may or may not be able to help. Hoping it is a common problem and not just specific to France!

I live in Paris. I have a samsung lcd tv. There is some form of Philips free sat box literally a tiny little bo with a blue light and no buttos. Then there is another flat black thing that says CGV I think its sort of a posh aerial. aerial attached to box, box attached via scart to tv. Now everything was fine apart from I walk away from the tv and now its blue. I don't mean blue like when scart lead is only half in, I mean has in the shadows are blue and then instead of being white for instance there are odd pink patches.

What is it? I checked all the leads are in, settings haven't changed

Perhaps you may get some helpful advice if you re posted this in the Digital TV Forum.

Is there anything else you can use to feed the TV - like DVD player for example?
If so what does that look like?

Are you sure that it is a " Freesat " box?

That is a satellite system, and it doesn't need an aerial.

Do the instructions that came with the box help?? What do they say you should do with the remote control (you didn't mention a remote control).

Would you perhaps get a more 'elpful response posting on a French Freesat forum?? (Radical idea I accept..)

    Cheers!

Philips don't make Freesat boxes, It's probably as has been suggested a sat reciever but not Freesat. Freesat is a UK trademark.

Posting model number may help without them it's hard to guess what you have.

"I live in Paris" but don't speak French...

Sigh!.... Promise there's much more of interest in gay Paree to the French speaker than you'll ever find at dear old MSE....
