There are issues with it however, some ISPs route all html traffic though a proxy, so you can potentially have hundreds of differnt users coming from the same IP.
Conversely people can use multiple proxies to show he is connecting from many different IP addresses.
not to mention most (home user ISP) IPs are dynamicly allocated...
It helps but its not a be all end all of moderating you still need some detective work =(0 -

Every website you visit logs every page you view in a log file which is useful for webmasters to track users through their site - i.e. how many pages does the average person look at, how long do they stay on the site, why isn't anybody ordering from my shop, which page is giving errors in the users browser (i.e. missing pages) etc...
The information includes IP address, date and time, page requested, result (success/error in page) and browser version.0
