    OK, an update.

Have now booked Goldbrick House, will be going to pay a visit in a few weeks to see if it lives up to expectations.

Have bought personalised Love Hearts and pick'n'mix bags for favours.

Re-ordered Save the Dates with a sharper image, not turned up yet but will hopefully be better than the originals!

Have bought wedding shoes - gold grecian sandals from Primark :D

    Hello all

Not many updates really apart from that I've provisionally booked a harbour tour of Bristol for an hour in between the ceremony and meal, it's for 45 with a glass of sparkling wine on arrival and we can play our own CDs - works out around £315. The nice lady from Bristol Ferry Company is sending me some complimentary tickets so we can try it out before paying a deposit, so we'll do that the same day as we go to Goldbrick House.

    :D

Went to see the reception venue at the weekend, I had a bit of a wobble about it (see other thread!) but have decided now that it will be fine! Also went to see the registry office - for a statutory room it's lovely, and also went on a boat trip which will be the post ceremony pre reception entertainment! It's all coming together! x
  • Woo - have paid deposits today! Reception venue, harbour tour and booked hotel! It's all becoming very real...
  • Hey wedding date buddy!

Yay for paying deposits! We're seeing the registrar on Wednesday to book someone to come to our ceremony, reception and photographer deposits paid, Dress paid (gift from my nan) rings deposits paid, we're getting there!

    6 months this Saturday, eek!

Flowers have arrived from Ebay, they're not as impressive as I'd thought they would be but then I have to remember I am having a simple wedding and massive flowers would look weird! No refunds from the Ebay seller so will take them to Bristol next time I go (it's where my dress is) along with my faux fur bolero from the BHS 20% off day and try the whole ensemble together. If they're not right I can always sell them on.
