boddy - hope you can get your DD to understand why you do your hospital work. My mother only finally found a fulfilling career AFTER retirement age (she took up botanical painting because she wanted to make sure she had something to do when my dad retired!). She now has two pictures in vol 2 of the Highgrove Florilegium (see here for exhibition!) which according to the blurb means she's one of the top 70 botanical artists inthe world :D. Just because you're retiring doesn't mean you have to sit at home staring at the TV...

Found my gym kit... it was in the laundry bin behind the ironing board. Obviously I put it in there after I sorted the rest of the laundry :o It just shows how long I've been putting off doing the rest of it for!

Now... I've packed my gym bag, watched some stuff on iplayer, done my second round of physio for the day (I know I'm meant to do three, but I'm working back up to it), had a couple of glasses of wine and some chocolate, so will clearly NOT be doing well in tomorrow's weigh-in  and now have a choice between a. cleaning the fridge, b. having a bath or c. going straight to bed.

Maybe I'll do a. and then see how I feel about b...

WTG Summer - it just shows how much easier it is to restore the place even if you let it slip a bit!!!
Doelani well done to you to - you have really got into the lists:T

soappie - thank you for letting us know what happened - I'm really pleased that there was a result. If I were one of the parents, then I wouldn't have the nerve to complain about the photos, and anyway, I'd be far too busy applying some restorative justice of my own...;)
And wasnt it the schools idea anyway - I would def be arguing the point if a policeman turned up!! and what about some break time/after school maintenace/ weeding /litter clearing in the school grounds to keep them out of mischief for a week or 2?

GTX hugs for you too - so sorry to hear about your back and having to have an op - I know a lot of people who have had back operations of one kind or another and they have all noticed a huge improvement so I hope it works for you, you crack that whip on those teenagers and get them working- tell them it will be easier to do it now with your supervision than on their own when you are laid up!!!:rotfl:
embb ok ok ok I will let you have the hamsters - but the next list that says 'clean out the pets' you have to do the ironing!!!! deal?:D
Tuesday twinkles! - Living room, hall and stairs! = first ever star please!! :j:j:jMoam
    :T:T:T:T:T:T:T WTG MOAM!!!

rach thats great news about the interview but sad news about your friend. and you took the words right out of my mouth for boddy!

boddy I agree with rach but DD might not be feeling jealous as such she just probably cant understand why you want to spend time with 'strangers' instead of her? Please dont think I am being unkind to DD.
greenbee i would have thought if it was a shared suppy then all the users would have to contribute - its possibly different to Scotland (if its a shared supply nobody pays as they cant be definate as to who is to blame.)
froddy how is your Dad - fully recovered?? Have just seen your other post - thats so sad - prayers and thought for your ex-colleague and the whole family - such a waste of a life.
Jill well done on the weight loss - thats excellent.

yes I have had a quiet day and feel totally frustrated by it!
    Tomorrow normal service will resume!!!:rotfl:

Could I please ask for some flylady hugs and prayers for a ex-colleague of mine whose son has just died following a fight in a local pub? It happened on Tues eve and they had to turn off life support yesterday. It looks as if some Royal Marines were involved and a murder inquiry is underway. I also currently work with his SiL so know several people close to him. Thanks

Froddy I saw this on the front of 'The News' today, very sad, thoughts with you & the family invoved.

    Good night all

    xx
