Is it worth upgrading the Ram?
The AB is 512mb - is it enough for it's size?

Yes that's all you get. The 512mb RAM seems just fine. But if you were to go changing the operating system then you might need more I guess.

You can get a case for £7.54 from Amazon, ie
Belkin Quilted case for Netbooks up to 8.9-Inch Black

Netbook case on Dealextreme for $4.47 delivered. Here
Quite decent neoprene case, even stretches enough to fit my Sammy NC10.

Just share my views on this Acer netbook.

I got mine delivered earlier today .. ordered from Dixons. Came with the 120Gb drive, and like others, was simply in a box with the charger and power lead. It was in "as new" condition and bar the packaging and having no manuals no one would guess it was reconditioned.

Earlier in the week got a 1Gb memory module from Crucial.

I read and digested the upgrade guides on the aspireone bulletin board and with my trusty screwdriver managed to get the memory module in and re-assembled in no time at all. ( just need to be methodical with taking apart and putting back together again )
Followed the other guide for installing Windows XP from a USB memory stick.

Decided to go the Windows route because we bought it for my daughter so needed something she would know how to use straight away.

All I can say it's worth every penny. A brilliant little netbook which boots up and runs faster than my works IBM laptop + home Dell desktop PC.
