Unless he has access to an external optical drive, he will have to continue to do so.
'Ripping' the CDs on his parents computer and then transfering the files to the netbook.

you can of course get an external usb cd/dvd drive for about £30 which he could use with the AAO or if he has an Xbox360, the Hd-dvd drive that was sold as an add on will work fine with the AAO as well

or of course he could just buy the downloads of the albums instead of the cd and he'd have no need for a cd player or cds lol

Thanks very much for all of the advice everyone. I think it will still be cheaper to buy the external usb cd/dvd drive and the netbook rather than a laptop with it all.

    Hi,

My netbook arrived today from PCWorld (£129.99+delivery)
Great little toy. It's also the 120gb model AO 150-AB.

Mine has been delivered, can't wait to go home and play with it! Views on Linpus? Ditch and replace with ubuntu/XP? I really like the idea of it booting in about 15seconds though

There's a nice package called easypeasy, which is a netbook linux remix.
    http://geteasypeasy.com/

I had issues with Linpus and my "3" broadband dongle - I made a few adjustments to be able to use it away from home and then found that I couldn't access my wireless network at home.

Easypeasy allows me to use both connections.
(and I put WinXP onto a separate partition so i can dual boot)

Does anyone know (have a link) to where you can download a user manual?

Also the recovery discs and drivers.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
I got mine delivered today from PCWorld, lovely looking machine, BUT they sent me the completely wrong model. The box says A150ab but i actually got an A110aw, so i am gutted, I was looking foward to having a play with my new toy!!
The annoying thing is they wont send me the right machine until they recieve the wrong one back, so its another 7 days of waiting(If theres any left in stock!!)
