We tried out a new brand a few weeks ago called the Good Little Sausage Company. They have a high meat content and no nasties from what I could see.
They were quite solid to eat but nice and tasty in a casserole. Some of their sales are donated to charity and there's some web thing that also donates money but I haven't looked into that yet. They seem to be an ethical company but best of all for me is that they are fairly local to me so less food miles.
EDIT: found a link about them. They have 85% meat, reduced fat & no perservatives. http://www.nifda.co.uk/information-centre/news-and-events/item/14/theyre-good-theyre-little-and-theyre-sausage-y/

70% Meat and 88kcal per sausage, which for me is a great thing. Really tasty, but probably not cheap. Although I prefer to pay for these. £1.99 the pack at Sainsburys, £2.18 at Asda. They do not have them at the moment at Tesco, but I have bought them there in the past.

I deffinitely would not save 50p in sausages if I can have 70% meat with so low kcal for a sausage!
    :)

They are thin, so they come about 8 in the pack.

sainsbos butchers choice, debbie and andrews or mozzies/tesc/sainsbo best ones - I always look for which offer has the highest meat content and base my final choice on that.

Richmonds Irish Sausages from the freezer
A: they are loverly and go great in caseroles and meat dishes.
B: if you buy them from the freezer which is about £2 for 16 compared to £1.87 for 8 from the chiller.

Pork (41%) If you check out my posts I'm no food snob in any way (Sainsbugs basics buyer here) but that is a scandalously low pork content.
