I used the code, although it initially worked, i have been charged the full amount on my debit card. I have emailed my query, if they will not allow the discount then I will be cancelling my order.

I got this response:
Dear Customer

If you use a cash discount promotion, such as £10 off, and you pay for your order with a credit or debit card, then we will process your payment in two stages. First we will charge your card with the full price of the order then we will refund your card with the value of the discount.

Please note that the payment and refund may not occur simultaneously but the refund will be made no later than when your order is despatched. Please be assured that if you were selected to receive the offer and your order meets the applicable terms and conditions, the refund will be applied to ensure that you receive the correct discounted price overall.


So now I am wondering if I will actually get that £10 back or not as I got the offer from here and not "selected to receive the offer". I'm tempted to cancel the whole thing and forget it.

just tried this works for me, it added the free gift set to the web page where it shows what you have just ordered...

just went through littlewoods direct added this which worked, all went through, then got the confirmation email to say this was out of stock now, so done a big order for nothing!

I used a similar code for additionsdirect, which i believe is owned or part of littlewoods direct. The code worked the same way, the full amount was charged and then the discount was refunded pretty much the next day, maybe even the same day.

Hi there, I think Empire stores have closed down or Empire direct, I think they are the same.

Same here... would a killer if it works on Kitchen Appliances as I'm after a fridge freezer.

I used my Empire Stores code for a purchase on Littlewoods. So I assume they are owned by the same company.
I didn't buy anything electrical or kitchen, just clothes.

Suggest you fill up your 'trolley' then put in the code at checkout.....if it works it'll tell you and if it don't it will say and you can the order from the trolley!

And I think you can use the codes together as they came on the same paper slip!
