    Just a warning to everyone using this code, I'm not sure how many of you are aware of the problems had by many members of this forum in the past with Littlewoods codes (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=196731) (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=594235) and other threads which aren't to hand.

    I'm not sure what the current situation with Littlewoods is as I never use them, but this is from their terms and conditions:
    2.3 Promotional codes are codes that enable customers to obtain benefits such as discounts, free delivery and free gifts. These codes are non-transferable so may only be used by the person to whom they are issued and must only be used in accordance with their terms and conditions of use. If you use a promotional code to claim a promotional benefit, you must first check that it was issued to you and that you are eligible to use it. By using it to claim a promotional benefit you will be confirming that:-

    (i) you are entitled to use the code;
    (ii) you meet all the conditions that apply to its use;
    (iii) you agree to the terms set out below.

    If, before accepting your order, we find that you are not entitled to use the code or do not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reject your order or alternatively process it without the promotional benefit being applied. If, after accepting your order, we find that you were not entitled to use the code or did not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reverse the benefit that you obtained. If you transacted on a cash basis e.g. by debit or credit card, we may take a further payment, equivalent to the value of the benefit obtained, from the card used. If you transacted on a credit basis, the value of the benefit obtained may be charged to your credit account.

    Just be careful as they may take the whole amount anyway!! Useful if you are looking to buy from littlewoods anyway and don't mind paying their full price.

    Yeah i've read that before, but if that happens, just return the items for a refund. Plus, i've put it onto my pay over 3 months account and it states my balance is £53, so they can't just take money off me that way :)

    Unfortunately from what I read in the past that often happened after the period allowed for returns had elapsed, meaning people we're stuck with items for full price! And nothing they could do about it (although I believe Martin managed to sort it that time, but wouldn't be able to again)

    That's illegal, ah well if they try that on me I can put my knowledge from my law degree to good use and inform them that they don't actually have a legal contract in that circumstance.

    Oh yes they caN! and then your banks will charge you an additional overdrafT charge of around £35 for them taking money when there was no money- despite you not asking them to take the extra!
    Littlewoods from what I have seen, first take the £53, then at a later date, take the additional £50, apparently when the realise the 'mistake'
    Then your onto another thread...al about unfair overdraf charges and awaiting the cour hearing (which seems to be postponed each year.....)

    PLEASE BE CAREFUL!

    I think the use of promo coed must've been written down in their T&C, and if you already agreed with it, then that's not illegal, isn't it?

    Yes, but given the circumstances of the contract, this could come under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977. At present, the consensus is between me and littlewoods agreeing the price is £53. If they want to change the price which materially alters the contract, that is an offer that requires another acceptance and obviously I will have to be notified of that,

    In that case, simply I will state the contract was concluded under the previous price and i'm not willing to pay the extra.

    Think about it this way, could a shop in the high street get away with doing that? They can't say its one price and change it to another months down the line, especially when they are giving you no opportunity for a refund.

    As for the overdraft, I don't have one, I always have cash in my account, so if they money did come out, I would get the bank to recover it for me.
