    Another vote for the Garmin, especially if you can get one with traffic alerts (lots of dealers offer this as a free add on)
    Also easy to get maps, speeed camera data bases and points of interest from many forums.

    Tescos have the Garmin Nuvi 255 at £98 at the mo. That is great value! I'm sure it's about £150 normally!

    Yes its a great price,hoping to get one Saturday ....can i ask a question if anyone has one of these what year are the UK maps ?

    You'd have to check.......My parents bought one a few days ago fromm dare I say......halfords (eek!!) and the maps on that model were 2008 versions.....soon sorted though & running 2010 maps now

    Having had 2 x Navmans I would buy something else next time. I like the user interface and the design, but the latest one I have is slow to update, particularly in cities and at complex junctions. And customer support is pants
