Weeeeeellll. So the last we mailed our broker had done the Ronaldo on us which was somewhat dissapointing. Shino said to try the broker that comes with the offer(from Advantage) and so we did. This geezer was on the ball chop chop and got an AIP dependant on valuation with a mainstream lender. So I'm waiting for the valuation now which take place in about 2 hours. If it stacks up then were in line for 75% LTV but requires negotiations with Advantagre to make up another 10k on their offer).
Remember, Advantage has already said, get an offer in place and we can deal and the broker seems to think they will budge meaning a new 2yr deal @ 3.99%, mortgage reduced and monthly payment down by £500.

I've got everything crossed right now hoping this valuation stacks up.

Yip. Valuation stacked up but I'm asking for a really big discount here and do not think Advantage will play ball. One can hope really right?
    Well one Shino, well done.

    Zed,
Good luck, at first was extremely sceptical but with the help of Les from VA (Superb service) everything ran really smoothly!

    Hi all.

Well, I was referred on the 3rd of July for this offer and I am still waiting for a response from head office. I think the call centre are getting just a little bit cheesed off with me now ringing in every day.
Is there anyone else reading this thread that has had the same referral to head office and how long have you been waiting/waited for a response? Not knowing is starting to do my head in abit.
Would be nice to get one of these offers as it would provide some extra security for what are sure to be tough times ahead plus we have a fantastic credit rating so remortgaging is not an issue.
Just wonder how long and how limited this offer is going to be with advantage? =/

Just to let you know, we have now completed our remortgage. The deal went though yesterday and we are now waiting for the remaining documentation.

We had to go back to Advantage to ask for an increase in the discount as, due to poor credit history, High street lenders were reluctant to lend.

Anyhoo, we did get a 'mainstream conforming' deal with Platform after securing a total £59K discount (yes £59000 taking 25% off our mortgage) from Advantage.
I'm still pinching myself thinking I'll wake up and it's been one of those dreams you have as a teanager but no, it's all in black and white.

If you have issues getting a new lender, use their mortgage brokers, (Les from VA Mortgages. Legend)

Shino74: I see you got a mention in the Daily Mail some time ago. Kudos;)
