kathfisch wrote:Moozie, you should be very proud of yourself with the turnaround you have made, in your attitude etc! Since you first posted "too scared to work out how much i owe", you've come so far, bet you never imagined you'd be routinely checking everything!
It can be really satisfying to check things regularly and feel in control but if it gets too much a break can do the world of good!
Thank you kathfisch
I am beginning to feel proud of myself, I have to say. It took a while to feel this way. You are absolutely right, I never ever imagined I'd be where I am now. This morning I opened a bank statement that had just arrived, checked the transactions and then filled it - then spend a few seconds smilling with great satisfaction as if I'd just done something really amazing :rotfl:
There is a fine balance though between being in control and being obsessed. So after reading your good advice, I decided to ease up on the internet banking checks. My balances don't change daily, no matter how I wih they did.
Thanks again, your comments were very helpful.Leason learnt :beer:0 -

Went to the gym aswell and got some out of my system that way!
Will feel better as soon as the HSBC card arrives and I get a result on the BA Amex apllication!
Hey there southernscouser
Very glad you are feeling better today. Clearly the rest and exercise helped. Hope the HSBC card arrives soon and the Amex application has a good result.
You are doing great :beer:Leason learnt :beer:0 -

Via Pigsback, I went to the Blockbuster offer and it flashed up that I had won an Xbox 360 - I had to sign up to the 'unlimited DVD rental' offer at Blockbuster, but I plan to cancel before the end of the free trail period (If I was a cynic, I would suggest that scuppers my chance of winning.) I realise that I may be tempting you to sign up to an offer that you do not cancel, but it's gotta be worth a crack??Everything in moderation..............including moderation..............0 -
