Have been felling down all this month about my money and I don't know why!
I have made massive steps since my lightbulb moment and I guess now that those steps are now smaller and less frequent this probably has a knock on affect but I can't seem to get my head out of it!
I keep getting massive urges to splash out! Been really tempted to buy an Xbox 360 for about 2 weeks now! I know I don't need one, just want one.
I think half the problem aswell is that now I'm never overdrawn I kind of look at it like I'm better off and I do have the money to spend, which clearly I don't!
Oh I dunno! My head is all over the place at the moment.
My Amazon card starts charging interest in 7 days @12.9% but the HSBC 0% card I got approved for will be here in a day or 2. That will mean half of it or so will be interest free again. Just got to find somewhere for the other £2,200!
Have also applied for a BA Amex 4.9% for life card. If I get accepted for that I know I will feel a whole lot better.
It's just the waiting around. I want to get everything sorted NOW! I hate having to wait until the end of the month for all my DD's to come out. Just getting really impatient!
Well thats my rant over for the day!
Got to go and fill the car up with petrol now! God I hate money! :rotfl:

Awww SS....I know how you feel. Sometimes you just need a rant.
Apart from not making "massive steps" (more like teeny baby steps!! :rotfl: )
I am exactly the same in that I am good for ages then just want to blow loads of cash on things I don't *need*...I just *want*.
Ahem....this is how I got to owing so much money......
I can't really say much more except keep ranting about it to get it off your chest, but try & focus (write them down again?) on what you *have* acheived?
Good luck reeling in your motivation again....

Hey SouthernScouser
Hope you are feeling ok now?
It is hard isn't it and I know it is easier said than done, but stay focused and positive and keep your goal in mind. Years down the line you will look back and think wow I paid off all that debt, I did brilliantly.
You are doing so well so far, keep up the hard work, and it IS hard, but let that make you more determind to beat it.
Hope you get accepted for the card and feel better about things soon.

Hey southernscouser
Hope everything seems brighter now - especially after 'splashing' out on petrol
Somes days are harder than others, no doubt about it. Just remember that you have made massive progress so far and keep that DFD in mind - it's coming closer and closer

Days like you're having are what the boards are for, keep ranting if it helps! Maybe writing down "been really tempted to buy an Xbox 360" will help you to resist the temptation!
Just keep muttering *car mats, car mats, car mats* under your breath! Might make you seem odd but should help you resist temptation, I know it works for me

Sorry I know I'm missing something but what does carmats carmats carmats mean/do, I've just sat for ages saying it but still it makes no sense.
Anyway back to you SS, I just thought I'd add my 2 penneth. I have recently decided to enter competitions. i know we can not afford to buy a new telly so i enter as many comps as possible for a telly, that way I feel that I am working towards it but not spending. And so far I have won a dvd player, 2 evian spa packs, a dvd and some pink animal slippers - mmmmmmmmm nice. But still these are things I have got for nothing and it makes getting the post is now exciting rather than just bills. Also there are loads of xbox 360 comps around at the mo and as they say you've got to be in it to win it. keep your chin up and keep on slogging, you'll get there in the end! :beer:May 2015 £10 a day currently £2080 -

Sorry batgirl, don't mean to be so cryptic! Have a read of this thread and you'll see what I mean!
Every time I go to buy something on impulse I think of southern scouser and the car mats, set myself off laughing and realise I don't need whatever it was after all!
It was expensive to you southern scouser but frequently saves me money!!Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... Avenue QOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 003
