Hope things are looking up for you Southern Scouser.
God it's a long slog isn't? I sometimes think having the debt free date when it's so far away can seem like a downer. I know we're supposed to face reality but sometimes I'd rather dream and pretend my dfd is next year, not x years away.
Bit off track here. Perhaps we need to expect to fall off the wagon occasionally, the trick is to get back on soonish not think, "might as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb" and carrying on splurging. I had a splurge last week and very nice it was too. No regrets, but back to the budget now.CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -

Oh no, there I go being misunderstood  ! I laugh with you ss, not at , I promise!
I'm just as bad with silly unnecessary spending, its a sympathetic and understanding laugh!
You seemed to know how to laugh at the situation but apologies if I have offended you

They are nice mats though! Quite a few people have said so! Maybe they weren't such a stupid buy!

Oh good, was worried for a minute
There's no point regretting the mats, just enjoy them and get your money's worth!
P.S. Back to the topic.... I know exactly how you feel losing motivation sometimes. I don't have any particular strategy except to try to distract myself for a few days. Not by spending, obviously, but hobbies, exercise etc. I also don't look at budgets etc, don't stare at excel spreadsheets willing the totals to reduce spontaneously. After a few days I find my enthusiasm returns and I can get on with it, putting any (smallish) overspends behind me and start afresh. Best of luck!Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. You know what kath, you might have hit on something there! Everyday I look at my CC balances online even though I know they haven't gone down! Perhaps from now I'll just do it once a week or so!
