SM what time where you up????? Hugs today and have fun pootering about. Will PM you about something :)

Tallie - those shifts sound killer!! Take care me dear xx

My list - first off its lemsip lemsip lemsip

Beware of evil mainland and all its bugs - recite this several times
Check bank its teetering and I ironically have £400 to put into the bank and no means of doing it today....doh
    Food from cupboards
    Write (already started)
Feed chookies - we are down to one egg a day - silly hens - they didn't stop in the winter and now they do!!
Pot up some more of the exploding veggies in the garden
Work quietly cos everyone else is still asleep including the puppy in the middle of a king size bed - hmmmm
Think about going to the doctor - they are circulating lots of things here about anyone with a cold/flu going into the docs - seems pretty silly to me cos its just a bad cold but OH and SIL seem to think its stupid not to go
    DD has homework to finish
DS has to walk the dogs (we did it yesterday :))
Email pal about house in Spain and see if we can rent it for a week - woo hoo - OH he says yeah.......we can go
My friend has broke her foot so need to get a card sorted
Brother over for tea - must do forms
Meal planner for May - I am missing this as its not done yet!!

Hope you all have a great day - enjoy it if you are off - down side of flexible working is sometimes you have to work on bank holidays - especially when you are as lazy as me.

angela110660 - well for me (we live on an island - rural but in the sea :)) I got the local newspapers from the area I wanted to visit and went for a long weekend - friday to monday to be able to go and look around get the local papers and visit a few places to get an idea of where I wanted to be. Then I made some contacts with local solicitors/farms/letting agents in the area (farms usually have cottages which often come up for rent) so I started like that. Subscribed to the local newspaper and internet site for the area - for our first house we posted up an advert on the local internet site, our second house came from the paper, third from a contact made via a visit and made some good contacts. Dunno how SM did it - but that's how we managed. Once you are in an area or have a regular 'presence' or a good contact its easier to find somewhere. UP here as well its easier to get a let in the winter as the holiday houses often look for lets and often then its easy to find a proper place.....goodluck - sure SM has lots of advice :)

    Hi Everyone

Just managed to get up - was thinking about it for some time:rolleyes:!

SM - so nice to hear about your house! Will you be moving far from where you are? Do keep up posted - it won't bore us at all. In fact I think it is insprirational.

It's lovely to hear everyone is doing so well and (mostly) enjoying the bank holiday weekend.

I managed to get a lot of my shopping paid for thanks to my lovely parents and OH. I am going to try to work out what I spent so that I have an idea for the Grocery Challenge.

Today is the last day of full revision - have got lots to do and am feeling very motivated.

    Today I will:
    • Revise ALL DAY
    • Update spending diary
    • Clean bathroom
    • sweep kitchen floor
    • washing HC
    • try to match up some socks
    • Maybe do a bit of yoga to help my back - so much sitting around is not good for it.
    • Storecupboards meals
    • Storecupboard snacks
    • Eat mangoes to make me think of summer
    Have a great day

-I have done daily scratch cards
    -do big pile of ironing
-Sort out socks so we actually have some matching pairs to wear!

LOL - OH's gone back down south to work and his company have made taken note of my 'situation' and he needs to notify them after I have been to the doctors. Inbetween times he is supposed to keep in contact with me to 'keep an eye on me'.

Waves through isolation of bedroom and laptop (writing up woo hoo - yeah still).
Docs not open today and I am not going to the local hospital to get a 'cold' checked out.

OH insisting I go tomorrow lol
PS Andan - ouch to sore tummies glad its better now.

Fay, I thought the advice was to stay well away from docs and hospitals, stay in and ring NHS Direct?
