    - investigated break down cover prices for trip down south on wed. Bit worried car might break and I will have no money to come home. Think will have to get AA (will get tomorrow)

    Hi angelflower,

Just a note to say make sure you go through Quidco - OH and I got £19 cashback for quite a basic package. You can get more if you go for a more extensive package.

Just finished hours of revision and have managed to get two full questions done and tested in exam conditions. I have one more to do and still need to quite a lot. Am going to take a break to catch up with my chores and move from the sofa!

Hope you are all enjoying the rest of the weekend.

    Hi

I've just 'done' a survey from Caio or however you spell it. I answered a load of questions about mobile phones to be told after about 5 minutes that I didn't qualify. Grrrr, why ask me all the mobile phone questions then? I think I'm going to quit them. I think I've made about 10p (literally) from about 15 surveys!

Ciao are a rubbish survey site and there are lots of much better ones out there. If you go on the freebie board they have a list of survey sites which you can join. i would recommend global test market, i have had £150 in payouts. Also lightspeed and i find toluna/test and vote very good.

Bagpuss, great to see you back, you were missed and i hope the family situation is more on an even keel.

Thank you for your reply, its nice to find someone who is thinking the same as me! Ive spent today having a look through my wardrobe and its just ridiculous! so much ive got and so much ive been bought, but i dont wear half of it and ive just had enough really, had bit of bad weekend! It was all the excitement leading up to a 3 day weekend then bang..... ive got no motivation!!! Anyway...

Our house needs so much work doing to it, we have managed to do things without having to pay out for ripping the old out and placing with new, for example kitchen tiles... got tile paint.. about £14... white... painted the tiles in the kitchen, look brand new!!! we bought this sticky adhesive stuff from Wilkos, £3.99 a roll and weve covered the kitchen cupboards and the manky bits on the sides of the units.. look new now!! Its just silly things like that cause my debt wouldnt allow for anything for years and i just really couldnt live with it too long and to be honest I am respecting it more!!!

But back to the selling of things... thank you so much.. will have to really start getting myself listing!! I have 16 items to do tonight!

I am also new to the site, am finding my feet now and loving it! I am finding strength to actually get on with stuff to be debt free however budgeting is still difficult as i found out this month, but everyone on here are doing it so it gives insperation to do it!!

    Oh i am rambling!!!
    :rotfl:

I'm glad my reply was useful. It takes me a while to be ruthless. I have to 'warm up'. I typically waste at least half a day looking at stuff and thinking 'Oooh, do I get rid of it or not', then I get fed up with analysing it all too much and become ruthless and once I do it's brilliant. Getting rid of stuff is very, erm, 'cleansing'. Sorry, I can't really think of the word I'm looking for, but I think having less stuff around me is better. I just wish I didn't have to waste the half a day every time and just get on and do it - lol!

I'm glad you're liking the site. I've been lurking for ages, mainly because there was something wrong with my account so I couldn't post. Now I'm posting and I love it! So many nice people with so many helpful, useful hints and tips - just a wealth of knowledge and support.

Ooh, thanks for this. I will investigate. I really need to get my skates on with the ebaying, clicking, surveying, matched betting malarkey. I'm getting there though.

Bit about surveys here, especially which ones are the best.

    Hi Everyone

Just managed to get up - was thinking about it for some time:rolleyes:!

SM - so nice to hear about your house! Will you be moving far from where you are? Do keep up posted - it won't bore us at all. In fact I think it is insprirational.

It's lovely to hear everyone is doing so well and (mostly) enjoying the bank holiday weekend.

I managed to get a lot of my shopping paid for thanks to my lovely parents and OH. I am going to try to work out what I spent so that I have an idea for the Grocery Challenge.

Today is the last day of full revision - have got lots to do and am feeling very motivated.

    Today I will:
    • [STRIKE]Revise ALL DAY[/STRIKE] And still revising - just taking short break
    • [STRIKE]Update spending diary[/STRIKE]
    • Clean bathroom
    • sweep kitchen floor
    • [STRIKE]washing HC[/STRIKE]
    • try to match up some socks
    • Maybe do a bit of yoga to help my back - so much sitting around is not good for it.
    • [STRIKE]Storecupboards meals[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Storecupboard snacks[/STRIKE]
    • Eat mangoes to make me think of summer
    Have a great day

Take a short break from the revision urg, have a cuppa, go outside and breathe some fresh air for a couple of minutes - it really helps you focus when you start again.
