    :j:j Yay Bagpuss is back, we were wondering where you had got to , Yorkshire Belle asked a few times last week if anyone had seen you about. I thought you may have got bogged down with another assignment. Glad to see you back anyway :D:D The regulars get missed when they drop off the radar.

    Hi

    I've just 'done' a survey from Caio or however you spell it. I answered a load of questions about mobile phones to be told after about 5 minutes that I didn't qualify. Grrrr, why ask me all the mobile phone questions then? I think I'm going to quit them. I think I've made about 10p (literally) from about 15 surveys!

    Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending

    Hi

    I'm fairly new here and have been mainly posting on another thread. I asked a similar question there too.

    I've got stuff I've bought and will never wear - its going on ebay, unless it is REALLY special.

    Stuff that people have bought me - if its from a very close friend/family I'm keeping it, if not and I think they wouldn't mind too much or notice - its going on ebay.

    That's just my strategy, but everybody's different. I'd rather be out of debt and have a nice house, than have credit cards and a horrible house full of stuff I never use/wear.

    Gwenx

    Edit: Just to say I'm sure your house is lovely, but my house is a hole, so I need to pay off the cards and save up to get work done to it. It helps me to think, would I rather have a nice house or this top? The answer is house every time.

    Thank you for your reply, its nice to find someone who is thinking the same as me! Ive spent today having a look through my wardrobe and its just ridiculous! so much ive got and so much ive been bought, but i dont wear half of it and ive just had enough really, had bit of bad weekend! It was all the excitement leading up to a 3 day weekend then bang..... ive got no motivation!!! Anyway...

    Our house needs so much work doing to it, we have managed to do things without having to pay out for ripping the old out and placing with new, for example kitchen tiles... got tile paint.. about £14... white... painted the tiles in the kitchen, look brand new!!! we bought this sticky adhesive stuff from Wilkos, £3.99 a roll and weve covered the kitchen cupboards and the manky bits on the sides of the units.. look new now!! Its just silly things like that cause my debt wouldnt allow for anything for years and i just really couldnt live with it too long and to be honest I am respecting it more!!!

    But back to the selling of things... thank you so much.. will have to really start getting myself listing!! I have 16 items to do tonight!

    I am also new to the site, am finding my feet now and loving it! I am finding strength to actually get on with stuff to be debt free however budgeting is still difficult as i found out this month, but everyone on here are doing it so it gives insperation to do it!!

    Oh i am rambling!!!

    QUIDCO Thanks milly mine is in too (19) but od interest was (12) so I have an extra 7 - not much but its more than I would have had before to pay to the cc this month

    marru well done - don't worry I am dreaming about life before Phd's and how to just live on the land again - even rang my ex and was very grumpy about nothing really (DD trip which has not been paid for) as I always take it out on him when I want my 'old' life back.

    I will just have to have a shiney new life instead :) after the horror of all this writing.

    Chick2organise I would agree with Gwen (waves to gwen) - if its not needed and its clutter and you can clear some debt with it - I'd list it on ebay - x
    Well done on starting the other thread - can you borrow some money (briefly) to cover the dd to save it going over and having a charge too - its terrible that they charge isnt it? Or ring them and ask them to move the dd a week or so? They might help? Sorry if you've tried all these things. charges make me so cross.

    Thank you for your support, I am going to dig deep now any list! I have replied to Gwen, Ive got 16 items to list tonight but i really am going to not to worry and only keep my most precious!!!

    I didnt think about calling them to change the dd, thank you, it may be too late but its worth a try!! I havent got anyone I can borrow from as it starts a whole thing of 'wheres your money gone' I live in a world of people who have loads of money and debt is a thing of weak people - hence why i am on here with normal understanding people!!!!!!! xx

    Hi all - was in work today but walked home from work to get a bit more exercise (took about 45 mins);
    Bought a baked potato in the staff canteen for lunch;
    Handed in my remortgage papers (fixing on a rate for a few years for a bit of financial certainty);
    Wrote a long stroppy letter to the FOS who say my PPI claim against Sainsburys in outwith the timescale despite them knowing full well that it isn't (more info on the PPI discussion tread!)
    Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
