Buy again in the sale

Hi, not sure wher to post this, but here seems a good a place as any.
We have just bought a new matress from Bensons Beds. It arrived today, It is now unpacked any laying on our bed. This evening I was saw an advert and guess what, Bensons are now having a half price sale. Is there anyway that we can take advantage of this, hopefully without having to arrange for the bed to be picked or us return it?
Thanks D

Some credit card companies cover you for this - if its within a certain period of time and if you paid by credit card

    Very quick reply, thank you.
No, we paid a deposit with our debit card and the remaining is over 20 months, direct debit.

Perhaps try speaking to the finance company - see what they say - but in truth - little hope

So you didn't like the answers in your other thread on this subject then?

I think the moral here is caveat emptor or even c'est la vie, if we all wanted to scam shops like this then there would be no shops left!

Perhaps they didnt like the answers and think that someone will tell them what they want to hear and then act upon it, even though they have no chance of getting a refund.

If the mattress had doubled in price just after you bought it, would you pay Bensons the extra money to cover the price increase if they asked for it?

Hi. So has this now become a name and shame? lol. I truly do mean that in jest. To answer your question though, not being at all familiar with this site, I posted in a few places. And just to clear what may become an issue, my final comments on the other thread were not aimed at you. I wrote them moments before finding this thread and your comments.
But, may I leave you with this one thought. Is this site not called Money Saving Expert. I was just trying to save money not scam anyone.
    Let the buyer beware.

Moneysaving is moneysaving when ever it happens. If the company is able to offer items at half price, they must still be making a fair profit.

The OP in no way trying to "scam" the company. He asked if it was possible to request the money back!! Once told "no he couldnt" he didnt then pursue it!

If money saving is only for before the event, will you not be claiming bank charges back then??

I did not accuse the OP of trying to scam the company at any time. I was indeed sympathetic if yu read my post again.

And no i am not claiming bank charges because i am lucky in that i have never been charged for anything from a bank ever. And no i'm not being a clever cow, just stating a fact because of your presumptions about me.
