Hi everyone,

Sorry but I am not upto catching up with the posts that I have missed at the moment.

My holiday has been a total nightmare, to make it brief I have been bitten all over by BED BUGS, I have also had an allergic reaction and I have a sack like bag on my eye. Which at one point was so swollen it was closed.

I have had to see the doctor whilst in Scotland, the hotel moved me to another room but this was at the end of the week. They then told me that they were getting reontokil in. The manager has just rung me to confirm that the problem is bed bugs, (the doctor had previously confirmed this).

They have offered me £250 compensation but my holiday was almost double that, they are ringing me back. But I am in such a mess and I feel so low and depressed.

I am now petrified that I have brought some home in my suitcase, I am in the process of washing everything and I have thrown out my shoes, bags etc and the suitcases.

I feel sick, sorry but I am so low.

Just dashing in to say Budgie...so sorry about your holiday.We all really wanted you to have a good time too.

BB - glad to see you are back with us. When you look at the old posts, you will see from the recent ones that we were really starting to miss you!

Try Trading Standards to get more compensation from the hotel. I've found them to be brilliant help and support when I've had consumer problems where I felt as though I was banging my head against a brick wall. And when you mention TS to the guilty party, they really sit up and listen and get nervous and jittery. Bed bugs indeed in the 21st century - that's appalling. They should lose their hotel license ...

I'm AF tonight, having some wine tomorrow night when Mr PIR returns from his cycle trip, and there's not school on Monday ('training day' - alright for some). So I'm on the Minstrels tonight.
