Morning 40SM, same for me except I was already feeling down then looked at my phone and saw all the texts about MJ which made me feel worse, I am/'was' a huge MJ fan :(

I came into the lounge and found DD1 asleep on the sofa, she said she heard he had died last night and was watching the live coverage all night. She came in to wake me up but I was unrousable, she said she was shouting into my ears! That's the difference when I drink. I'd taped Eastenders and put that on at about 10pm but only saw the start and woke up at the credits. I didn't have that much to drink but it really affected me. I've not sorted out any of the kids stuff this morning for the school/childminder so am now going to be rushing, feel like crap, feel very upset and tearful and want to go back to bed.

Had a bad evening which has really knocked me for 6 :(

Hope everyone else is okay today, sorry if I've dampened the mood :undecided

    xx

Jo....Hope you soon feel a bit brighter. It is sad news about MJ...only 50....that's younger than me:eek: Although I wasn't a big fan I know it will be a big loss for many people.

Try to put last night behind you and get back to it.You will do it.

    Take care of you

You've got the whip Molly - you do what you like :D

Sorry peeps had a bad night last night. Don't worry - put it down to experience. Have to say the more times I do it (and the longer gap between each one) the easier day 1's become. That must mean I'm getting there slowly.

I just don't like the idea of telling myself I can NEVER drink again. Though in reality I guess that's the situation. I also know I'm probably going to fall off the wagon quite regularly. As long as the drop is not TOO BIG and not TOO REGULAR, I will be happy with that progress.

But, Molly ....... Its still great fun chasing you :rotfl: ..... even if you have got a scary whip ....... Oh what a sheltered life these Suffolk country bumpkins lead :D

    Best Wishes
    Andy

    Hi
Just been watching GMTV - all about MJ . They were playing his songs whilst showing pictures of him. It was really really moving - I completely lost it , tears flowing. The presenters were also clearly upset as they did not back to them as usual to say goodbye- just went straight to the ads.

I must now pull myself together as I have got to go to DS2's assembly.

Sorry to see everyone so sad on here today.

I am still on 11. 2 large glasses of wine last night at the pub. Usually a lot worse so I'm happy with that.

Hope everyone's day improves - soon be the weekend.

    Jo hugs me dear

Brand new shiney day - you will be the first to say - don't give yourself a hard time.

LOOK AT WHAT YOU HAVE ACHEIVED over the past couple months :)

    Onwards and upwards.

After today at 5-6pm I will be free from PhD madness

Possibly permanently. They make a decisioin today as to whether or not they keep me - and I am taking 2 weeks off to see if I want to be kept. Either way the current arrangement at work isnt working so something has to give.

Oddly enough I gave up drinking to focus in on work etc

And turns out it wasnt one monster hangover after all - although drink certainly wasnt helping me feel better about myself or think straight.

I was diagnosed with Dyslexia on Friday - which is very very odd. I have had it since a child and am still a bit gobsmacked - but at least now I know how my wiring works and am working to replumb a bit of it.

Seems my brain is fuddled either way you look at it.

Sorry for sharing - :) kinda like you all and wanted to chuck out some brain fodder.
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
