115k - well done on your weightloss tonight, you sound really motivated this month so I'm sure you'll do it. Good luck on your SW Molly Polly! Holidays are a good focus aren't they?

I'm visiting friends tonight and would usually take wine. I'm going to see if I can find a diet soft drink I've never tried to take along. Otherwise it's soda and a slice of lime and a can of diet coke as my fallback. I was taking food like chocolate and snacks to share with me before but I doubt anyone will want carrots and celery. Maybe carrot batons and a dip and I won't eat the dip. Once I'm off the diet I could take a non alcoholic cocktail with fruit juice etc and mix it there as I'm sure that would go down well even with the wine drinkers but I can't do that this week.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all

    I
SIL was diagnosed with cancer last night, its not sounding v good - sorry to share - OH is beside himself - its all happenning a bit too quickly 45 mother of 3. What can anyone say - not very much.

    .

Oh Fay . What can I say ? . That is so so sad. Your resolve needs to be stronger than ever now but I have every faith in you . Stay strong !

I hope some sparkles appear in your day - hopefully In the shape of BB's parcel.

Must get off to work now as I have a horrible feeling that DS1 is going to be sent home ill today so i would at least like to turn up at work ! . Not sure if was trying to pull a sickie ( he does not like the teacher he has today) or if he is genuinely ill . I left him pleading with me in the playground ( this happens 2 or 3 times a month.) Now I feel really guilty and feel like crying.

    Catch you all later

Good morning, people haven't you all been busy!
I've not had chance to read the posts yet but felt like i'd abandoned you all. I've just been really busy, and i've got another couple of weeks to go, but the light at the end of the tunnel has definitely been turned on, it's just been flickering at times:rolleyes:
I've not set a target yet, sorry i'll go back to last month and just add one, i think that would be safer, I think i tried to run before i could walk. I'm pleased to say that i've not had a drink so far this month ( i know its the 4th) but hey that's 4 days:jAF
It's even my little ones birthday and i've not had a drink, just too busy, and i'm liable to cry without the alcohol due to stress:o but determined not to drink, I am going to cope!!!:D
    Weight loss??? You're having a laugh:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
fay - sorry about your news:grouphug:

    Morning all,
Will have to be a quickie; actually have some work to do for once.....

Jo & Fay even if I had all the time in the world I don't think I can add to the words that have already been said so eloquently, but just to say my thoughts are with you.

Hope everyone's OK this morning, as far as poss.

40sm thanks for the scoring & hope your lad's OK. I've never had that problem with DD she's obviously pleased to get away from me :rotfl:. I'd like to say I've always encouraged her independence but if I face the truth......

All far too serious for me, back later with a carp joke ;)

    Morning all

Fay - so sorry to hear about your SIL. ((Hugs)) Nothing much anyone can say but I think its great you were able to be supportive to your OH rather than running straight for a bottle.

Jo - You know we will all help you. This could be the turning point for you. I think you were very brave having a LFT done in the first place. I would be terrified of having one done. If it came out bad I would feel awful, and if it came out good I'd be scared to death it sort of gave me licence to carry on the way I was, if you get what I mean.

40SM - 4 for me please. Am counting today already as I know I'm off out to the pictures later with a friend and I'm driving.

Had a wierd night. Piglet came in our room at midnight coughing for england and with streaming nose and swollen eyes. This weather seems to have worsened his asthma (which was under control with ventolin liquid) and brought on hayfever. Cue visit to doctor this morning. Yet more medecines!!! I was feeling a bit sorry for myself this morning due to lack of sleep etc and then I thought about that couple at beachy head with their son. My problems are tiny in comparison.

Off out tonight to cinema with a friend to see star trek (I'm a bit of a closet trekkie...even tried joining the william shatner fan club once ....to my eternal shame:o!!!) Looking forward to that. Normally I'd be a bit miffed it didn't include a trip to the pub but today thats not bothering me.

Have good days everyone, whatever you're doing

    Miss P
    xx
