Morning all
115k - thats part of my problem. People often ask me if I'm "ok?" when not drinking. Obviously I'm quieter. But I like to think I'm less argumentative and less embrarrassing too!
40SM - can't imagine having three boys running around. You have my admiration. I only have piglet and he runs me ragged as it is! He IS a cutie though. Athough he did look at the scrambled egg I made him this morning and went "Ooooh....thats strange". Charming.
Also, are you taking our targets for June yet? Mine will be 25. On a diet so alcohol pretty much off the menu anyway!
Eselt - Fays right about trying baby wipes on your pink ears. My little one scribbled biro all over my SIL's suede backed chairs and baby wipes got it off in no time. Miracel workers (although god knows what they do to babies bums!)
Anyway, must get on. AF day for me today.

Morning all..hope everyone is well today...thanks for you all your messages about the boring at parties bit...I am aiming to be a cutter downer with idea really being to stop drinking at home....I didn't drink till the last at the barbecue as it started early and I knew dh would be drinking and I would be pretty much soley responsible for the kids and getting them to bed etc. (that makes dh sound awful but he isn't and he doesn't get really bad just sort of forgets he has kids when we go out
)
Lurkio your comment about childhood made me think, I have read somewhere about thinking about how we could enjoy ourselves quite easily when we were kids without alcohol..I didn't start drinking until I was in my early twenties, I used to go to gigs and for meals out with my first boyfriend and the most I would drink would be 1 or 2 malibu and pineapples :rotfl::rotfl: I would just automatically drink coke...only when I got in with different friends that the drinking started (and the smoking but luckily I only did that for 5 years)
40sm your son sounds lovely, my son said to me the other day something similar but it was 'you havn't shouted at me today' that is something I am working on but my girls do test me constantly...if you have seen the advert before britains got talent with the guy going into the room and his kids have redecorated it that would be mine given 5 minutes alone  hope your littlun is better today... your comment about getting loud is a bit like me too, dh always says 'your lip catch has gone'
Jo you have reminded me I must ask my sil about her vertigo, I know she has been suffering and is on tablets but I think she is still drinking and driving (not at the same time obviously)...well done on a whole week af :T
PIR well done on resisting last night and hope you have a good day with your dd's
WBF you have done soo well with your cutting down, must have been hard to go out with your friend and not drink when you could feel that she was disapointed...not only that but off to the gym too..wish I had your energy
BBabe you have done a wonderful job this month caring and keeping everyone going and scoring...what a star :A
Hi to everyone else, gotta go now, my 3 are all over the place and we are supposed to be going to a farm today (hope the weather cheers up) and thanks for the suppliment comments - going to take a look in boots later for their version of berocca and I might have a look in h&b (only just realised what that is, was reading this for ages and thought it was a shop called 'health and beauty' for some reason:D )for some of the 5 htp as I have noticed it is supposed to help lift mood...

FUAS, how you feeling today hunny, and I hope something comes of the jobs you've applied for, fingers crossed xx Thanks for the tip re. Berocca, what do Mr S's ones taste like?
Eselt, you would be a fantastic keyworker for somebody, I would love to hear your experience if I was looking for help. My first keyworker was really lovely and we got on well but he didn't have a drink problem and I often said to him that it really p!ssed me off that 'you lot' (ie him and his coworkers) would be going down the pub after work, it was a lovely sunny day, and you'll all get p!ssed and not have to worry about how much you were drinking  So good on you, when do you find out? xx
Lurks, get your garden out for the girlscongrats on the AFD
115K, good luck with your AA venture if you decide to take itnothing to be scared of, just walk in and sit down, they will be used to newcomers turning up, it's going back that takes the courage
When's the next meeting? Let us know how it went xx
Maz, I think a lot of us gave a big target that in the end wasn't manageable at the beginning, but gradually the AFDs are getting easier (for everyone else, not me) and the targets have been increasing. Good luck for next month x
Nettttie, welcome to the thread  congrats on your 2 AFDS, after today you will have no alcohol left in your system and things will start to settle down. Good luck, look forward to getting to know you!
Orchid, I want to be a paramedic!! That's my dream job but my OH doesn't want me to do it, says it's too dangerousone day though, when the kids are a bit bigger and I can do the shift work, I'm gonna say booger you, I'm doing it anyway
Re. the lethergy, man, it's a killer and a bit frustrating to be feeling carp but not have drunk! I think it's the toxins leaving the body and settling down. I've been taking Berocca now for a couple of weeks and it seems to make me feel a little more alive, it's a Vit B & C effervescent drink (you can get it in swallowable capsules), Vit B is good for the liver. It's not the cheapest solution but I really enjoy drinking it in the morning, at first it reminded me of my daily dose of Resolve but now it's my fizzy orange :rotfl:
PIR, congrats for the AFD
WBF, you have done fantastic this month, well done! Berocca is expensive, but it's quite addictive, can't do without drinking it in the morning nowGreat post this morning, loved the bit about being the last one in the restaurant :rotfl: I too am worried about being boring in the eyes of my mates, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it
Jo - that doctor sounded good apart from that he sounded like he was about to strip you and do a cavity search for drugs!:D
And to think I was contemplating going back to him  :eek:congratulations on exceeding your target :T:T:T:T
40SM, so glad that lil 40SM is better todayIf you're doing the list I shall have no target thanks, living for the day me
