I'e just been for a hospital appointment and I found a great mag to read called Period Ideas, typically I was only waiting for 5 minutes before they called me so I had to put it down but it was fantastic. I've been browsing online and came across this site http://www.periodliving.co.uk/ which has their magazine online and looks quite good too.

Congratulations on the job, Princess Vix x x

Nothing shabby done here - waiting for new embroidery hoop for next planned project. Should probably doing one of the other things I have going on but, meh, too excited about my new idea!!!

Really ought to get myself a bit more organised!

I have so many things to get sorted but we just havent had the weather! I do have some frames and a memo board i really should get on with. I also bought a few rolls of paper in B and Q which i am going to use in the small WC and i want a drawers for in there and 2 x bedside tables for our room! oh goodness i need no more furniture !

Hope you all are progressing further than me :D x x

Is that one of those fabric and criss-cross tape type (IYKWIM) memo boards? I'd love one of them custom-made to a space on my kitchen wall.

Polly - what project is this then? What kind of hoop are you looking for.

I am so fed up, ever since I got by ottoman it has been raining so cant get outside to start the painting :( And to add to it I am addicted to Ebay. I joined this site to save money!! Oh well I am having fun rediscovering my passion for interior decorating on a budget. Thanks everyone for all the lovely inspiration

I've got a bog standard 10" hoop on order as my only other hoop is smaller and up in the loft atm. I ordered it at the end of last week and I was rather hoping it would have been here by now so I can get started. It's an idea I have for aprons, well it's not my idea, it's an very old idea which I'm hoping to try out and maybe update a little, maybe leave as is. I shall try the old style first and then see where that takes me, but I promise to post pictures when I've finished the first one and get opinions.

I also need to order some aida for some pin cushions I want to make. I may not be the most artistic person in the world (I too can only draw stick figures!) but I can be quite creative with yarns and fabric etc and I have lots and lots of ideas so I'm hoping to set up a little business from my little home, maybe...lol.

Do you do cross stitch then cherisong? What I have in mind isn't exactly cross stitch per se. I used to cross stitch and I'm going to do my pin cushions in cross stitch - it's been a while though! Oooo reminds me, I need some graph paper too, I'm sure I can print some from somewhere!!
