I've just been to collect my sofa, we managed it in one car journey so pleasantly surprised. It's much pinker than in the photos but it looks like it will be quite easy to recover. I love the idea of a dark linen with the frame painted cream and distressed. I was planning to leave the frame as is, but it's quite bumped so it needs a new finish. Guess I'd better get my brushes out - will be a project to keep me out of mischief until I move I guess!

Is the corner sofa modern/squarish, or squooshy? If is squarish and the room coud take both, then recovering it in a really good fabric, maybe stripes to keep it boyish, softened with lots of cushions particularly some in the same linen you use on the ''good'' sofa to ''marry'' them both might work. Its a big ask of a room though, unless its very big. If the room is big enough though, it could look excellent. What I would say, is much as I love all of our sofas (as well as the one a bit like yours we have three two seater sofas, all little victorian ones) mine are not excellent for snuggling up together, we manage, but a more robust sofa wouldn't be a bad idea.
Two of my sfas are ''his and hers'' one carries a modern green and pink stripe (the his) an the ''hers'' carries a floral from the same range. They have the ''wrong'' scatter cushions for each, like a suggest above, and it really looks quite ok. I'm not big on things matching.0 -

Vikki your room is beautiful :T I now want to get on with mine
My OH did some work in the garden this wkend and had some off cuts of wood he was going to dump but I rescued them and turned them into this

I used the rest of the transfers from my chest of drawers make-over and I had some plain cupboard knobs, I sanded the wood and painted it with the sample paint I got from Farrow and Ball (its white tie) then put clear varnish over it
It will go in my bedroom
forgot to say I still have to put the screw holes inGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing
