I saw the cushion sitting at the 'self scan' till, someone had left it there. It had a price of £3.45 on it and I went to look for more in the store. However all the other ones were marked at £12/13. Spoke to the staff who said someone had taken the cushion out of the package and put in the cheaper package and tried to scan it through at the self-scan, but the barcode was still at £12/13 so the just left them there!
I really love those cushions so will keep an eye on them and wait for them to be reduced and let you knowGroceries challenge

Hi all,
this thread is great, I love it:j My hubby and I started 'distressing' our mostly mexican pine furniture a while back as we liked the darker wood to go with our new 1920's house we will move to this summer, but didnt see the point in buying new darker wood furniture.
I didn't know about 'shabby chic' until 2 weeks ago - we bought an amazing fireplace here at an auction in northern ireland for £88 - it is mexican pine, but really great quality with iron inset etc. I was telling the auction guy I was going to paint it darker and he mentioned the phrase 'shabby chic' and since I goggled I've realised this is exactly the style we both love (and can afford to do).
My husband is going to distress our solid pine oak kitchen, get new dark drown work tops, ceramic sink and we are going for the country cottage look!
Since then we have started our own collection of stuff for our new house - the furniture is mexican pine stuff mostly (which was all wrecked - kid damage etc) I am going to attach some pictures for you to see for yourselves it is so easy to do - just requires a sander (for bigger pieces which you can buy for cheap) and paint/brushes.
My mother in law gave me this wall display, it was in a rare orange brown colour, we sanded it, painted the inside sage and distressed the cream to give an aged look:
