Got Barum Bravuris on both of our cars. Had them on all my cars for the past 8 years. Very quiet, last for ages - current set have done almost 50 000 miles on the rear - and are very reasonably priced. Barum are part of Continental and if you read the various reviews etc they do well compared to more expensive makes. National tyres stock them but take my advice and do it through Tyre-Shopper and you'll pay about 40% less than getting them at National Tyre and tyre shopper use National Tyres to do the fitting! Dont ask me how they do it, the guys at National Tyre don't know either and admit they can't compete with the price!0

Michelins every time - they consitently get voted best tyre for mixture of grip and wear,(it's hard to have good wear withoutcompromising grip)
and they are made here in the UK (as are Dunlop and Pirelli, iirc)
They also do energysaver tyres, wide range of sizes available, which save about 5% on your fuel bill, so I'd go for them.:beer:Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
Balance 19th April '07 = minus £27,640
Balance 1st November '09 = mortgage paid off with £1903 left over. Title deeds are now ours.0 -

I agree with this - I run Michelins (energy saver) after experimenting with other brands - found them cheaper to buy but didn't last as long so not really money saving unless you are planning to sell the car or the price of the Michelins is just too high
A pair in that size will set you back around £1500
