michelin, firestone, pirelli, goodyear etc etc0 -
From your question I presume you are not happy with Ford's choice of tyre from new? might be a question to ask on a Ford Focus forum, there are sure to be several or alternatively ask your local independant tyre stockist.Hit the Gym HARD!!!0

IMO and i used to be in the industry Michelin are the best tyre on the market but are also one of the most expencive but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.0

I think you get what you pay for and there are no real review sites in the UK. There is a German one and even if you don't speak German you can figure out what they are saying.
I had a thing for Firestones I thought they were a reasonable make, fairly cheap and seem to be fairly long lasting. But I think you will get a different opinion from every poster.
Michelins will be about £75, Firestones just over £50, and el cheapos around £30.

Having had Bridgestones of various kinds I won't have them again. Quite a noisey tyre that only performs well in warm dry conditions and decent road surfaces. Means they come out well in test track tests but fall short in real UK driving conditions.
Michelin Pilot Primacy HP or the new Energy tyres. Claimed to last 25% longer than most competitors similar tyres, grip very well, noticeably lower road noise than Pirelli P6000, Continetal Premium Contact, Bridgestone RE040 (Turanza's bad too) and some shoddy cheap tyres I once fitted to a car to get it through MOT before selling it (it was a reminder to never buy cheap rubbish for a car your going to keep for a while
)
For driving on water logged roads the Continetals were best though.0 -
I've found Toyo to be very good. I'd never heard of them, but the owner of my local tyre place reckoned he used them on his BMW ( OK, I took that with a pinch of salt ), but they were one of the cheaper options at the time and they lasted far longer than any others I've had. OK, I'm no boy racer, but for everyday "normal" driving they were fine, and lasted ages.0

I thought Toyo were boy racers tyre of choice..........:rotfl::rotfl:0
