In response to Jem16 re the 3 month rule:
"General terms and conditions
Orange pay as you go to Orange pay monthly number transfers
Pay as you go customers with less than three months pay as you go subscription history will not be able to transfer their pay as you go number to a pay monthly account. "
This applies to Orange PAYG customers who wish to go to an Orange Contract.
They can't stop you taking your number to another netwok for 3 months.
(just re-read Jem16's post and I'm unsure as to whether this is what you meant in your reply?)...and then the window licker said to me...0 -
wrx,
I've just read your post above a few times. I think I know what you want!
With the 1000xnet Orange mins, don't port anything to this contract. I'm assuming that this sim will be sitting in a phone at home to be used to make calls from home only (or possibly while you're out and about). If you were to port your old O2 number to it, then port it away again to a new O2 contract- That would kill the existing Orange sim. You would still be stuck with the 1000xnet contract and no way of using it. i.e. No sim card.
I stand by my first suggestion on page 1 as to a fairly straightforward way of going from O2 to O2 in about 2 weeks....and then the window licker said to me...0 -

What I meant was that if you wanted to get a new contract with orange as opposed to upgrade your existing contract, you could not simply ask for your current contract to be turned into Orange PAYG (keeping same number) and then use that number to upgrade back to contract again keeping the same number.
Basically you have to port away from Orange onto something like Virgin PAYG the port back into Orange on a new contract.0 -

Unfortunately it probably is down to CPW now as CPW is its own service provider for O2. Any O2 contract bought through CPW does not get handled by O2 themselves.0
