Kaupthing Edge/ ING

The ING statement, whilst showing zero interest for Kaupthing, did actually make mention of the Kaupthing account. As the Kaupthing account is a bond, and interest on it is not due until this year, this is why is showed zero against the Kaupthing account, I guess.
I got my tax certificate through the post yesterday but it only shows details of my instant access ING account which was originally transfered from Kaupthing Edge, it does not show the fixed 3yr account that was also transfered on it?0 -
Got my ING tax cert yesterday and my Kaupthing one today!0

Had my ING statement last week and Kaupthing today, really wasn't expecting it as I thought it was as dead as Icesave. With Icesave at least I printed out all the details from last April and will be able to use that for the tax return.0

KE tax certs arrived today, 2 certs for different KE a/c's and on Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander paper with the note on the back saying "trans to ING on 8 Oct 08".0

I checked with them the other day about a small amount I had left in KE. I asked if they could put it in my ING account but they refused saying that they could only bring things together when my £10k bond with KE matures at which time they will ask me what I want to do with the small balance in the KE ordinary account and if I would like to take up their offer of a new bond. They are deducting tax on the ING a/c even though I always send R85s. Nothing is straightforward!0

I got my tax certificate through the door the other day too. I don't understand what it means. What am i to do with it?0

I've received separate tax certificates for my ING and previous Kaupthing accounts.
The ING customer service number is given on the Kaupthing certificate (0845 603 8888) if there are any complaints. Or you can write to them at ING Direct, Freepost NATW1784, Reading, RG6 1BR
To ensure tax isn't deducted, fill in an R85 form and send it to ING Direct at the above address.

I received my tax certificate from Kaupthing yesterday. The tax deducted isn't at 20% though!? The gross interest is correct but the tax deducted is about 13.4% of the gross amount and hence the net interest is wrong.0

A 3 year fixed account taken out last year would not have accrued any interest yet, so no tax certificate is necessary.
I got two certificates, one for the instant access account and one for a fixed term account which matured in 2008 (before the ING transfer). I did not get a tax certificate for my 1 year bond which was transferred to ING because no interest has been paid on it yet. You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0 -
