That's OK. It's natural to be weirded out by things when you don;t understand them. You salt it and put it in a bag, it's not dragging on the floor behind you leaving a trail!!Seems much more natural to me than cutting immediately, but I may compromise and just cut after a few hours. I want an entirely natural third stage anyway.

Well I know where my cat is... He spent the night at the RSPCA emergency hospital in Birmingham... They think he was hit by a car
Can't do anything at the minute either... Tried to get a lift there from my Mum today but apparently going to buy bits for her husbands Harley Davidson is more important today... Hubby's going to get the bus over tomorrow and take his cushion for him to sleep on but they won't release him until Tuesday when we can take him to a private vet... And they also won't treat him more than fluids/painkillers... They think he might have injured his pelvis because he's sitting funny... We're hoping it's just bruised and some quiet days might be enough... It's even worse because A) we were just discussing getting him insured but hadn't actually done anything about it andI'm pretty sure we're elligible for a tiny amount of council tax benefit but was waiting for the tax credit award to apply... If we were already on it we could go to the PDSA hospital for free treatment... <Sigh> at least we have the pushchair money to tide us over for now...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

We'll be babywearing too. We weren't sure what sort to go for so we bought some second hand ones to test out to see what we'd like. We ended up each really liking the same one, it's kind of bag shaped rather than a long length of cloth so we each have one in a different size. It's good up till they're about 2, it says.
We're cutting the cord though, and I'm going to give birth at the clinic. My mother and grandmother had two emergency births, and I'd prefer to be around medical intervention in case something goes wrong. If everything goes well, I'd like a home birth in future, but I'm a little bit worried about the first time.
The clinic does offer homeopathy and acupuncture as pain relief. I'm interested in the acupuncture, but I also like that they have an anaesthetist on call just in case
Edit: Krystal, that's awful! I hope he's just bruised and shaken, how scary for you.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

aw hope he's ok Krystal.
one of mine cane home a few weeks ago limping really bad. as it was late at night we decided to leave him over night, as comfy as we could make him and take him straight away the next morning. he wasnt miaowing with pain but more if you went near his leg. the next morning he was a lot better, wanted to go out and promptly jumped over the fence. we think he may have badly landed and bruised it.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

The idea wasn't created, it is what people have done naturally for centuries, and still do in many cultures. It's nappies that are weird, in that sense, and a created idea. (Backed up by the lucrative nappy industry who encourage us to use them and present them as the only option, similar to the formula food industry.)
Of course, every mum chooses for herself what she wants to do, but EC isn;t a new idea by any means, it's an ancient one.
I potty trained once they understood the concept of what they needed to do, it ranged from 20mths right up to almost 3 years old. DS2 just couldn't be bothered. Just don't make life to complicated, in our modern world there seem to be too many things that we have to do so if it's not an essential I try to leave it out. I totally get the concept of baby sign language, that fascinates me.Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

I haven;t decided on a sling yet - there's so much choice! I have a frfiend who knows loads about them so am going to ask her.
Tara - I forgot to say about baby signing, I'll be doing that as well!
Jillie - if I can find some good links I'll edit and post them here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotus_Birth
