Just rang the doctors, they said the midwives take 2 to 3 weeks to get in touch.

    Pffft.

    mmmm magnum...
I was addicted to twister lollies with Chris I got through 5 boxes a week!!! I didn't put on much then and haven't this time either :D according to the stats of extra blood/baby/amnio fluid etc I haven't gained any 'fat' but I have eaten what ever took my fancy whenever I wanted (including bowls of cereal at 1am ) if ur naturally slim n fit you'll prob be the same no matter what u eat :D
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

    Debt-free and Proud!
I just tidied the bedroom at long last and put some washing on, made some soup, and then went through the bag of stuff my mate gave me yesterday...a cuuuute blanket, some cuuute hooded Winnie the Pooh towels and some plain baby towels! So sweet!

Means I can cross a few things off my scary list, which I wrote out yesterday:

    Stuff to get before birth
    co-sleep crib
    travel system
    car seat
    washable nappies
    nappy bin
    flushable liners
    baby bath support
    sleep vests
    babygrows
    hat/s
    baby lotion
    cotton wool
    baby wipes
    sheepskin
    sheets
    sling
    muslins
    baby bag
    cardigan/s
    swim nappies
    ear thermometer
    grooming kit
    bath toys
    baby flannels
    waterproof mattress liner
    bouncy chair?
    room thermometer?
    mobile?
    nasal aspirator?
    [STRIKE]
    car sun shade
    baby towels
    travel cot
    blanket
    [/STRIKE]

    breast pads
    nursing pillow
    nursing bras

Is this too long? too short? Missing something vital?

I can;t believe how much stuff I need to get! Let's hope the baby show is full of bargains1

Plus - if anyone is going to the baby shopw tomorrow and needs two grandparents tickets - I have two spare! PM me.

SugarSpun, I went into early labour at 30 weeks...apparently my cervix had effaced but not dilated (I was told this by the MW at the hospital)...although I am now about 1cm dilated because the baby is quite low. They managed to stop my labour...I got given progesterone and an anti-contraction drug. I'm still taking the progesterone but only a much milder anti-spasmodic now. So it is possible to stop it...I'm 34 and a half weeks now, and the doctor says that it doesn't mean that the baby will turn up early. Good luck and hope that they can convince your baby to stay put too.
