SM - I had a dream we had a boy called Elias Samuel - not to be!
I like Zachary Hayes - Jayden's nice would remind me of Britney though lol (was it Britney who had Jayden James?)
I quite like the idea of going with the name in a dream, kinda romanticMFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

Morning all
I've had a bit of a night of it! I managed to fall asleep on the sofa last night watching TV, whilst holding a cup of tea my DH had just made for me. Woke up a few minutes later covered in scalding liquid. I burned my thigh and the bottom of the bump and it covered quite a large area. We decided that as it was such a big surface area that I should go to A and E, but had to go on my own as kids were in bed, and we don't know any of the neighbours well enough to ask them to look after our SN daughter.
A and E were fantastic. Although there were quite a few people waiting to be seen, when I turned up and told the receptionist I was pregnant and had scalded my belly, they took me straight back to be seen. Fortunately, as we suspected, the burns are not very deep, but because they cover a large area, they still needed to be dressed, and will have to go back on Monday to have them checked for infection.
Then they decided to send me up to labour ward to check out the baby just to be on the safe side. I haven't been in the labour ward of this hospital for 15 years when I discovered at 17 weeks I'd had a mmc, and they were horrible to me then. I was 17+6 yesterday so the timing was not good for my mental state, particularly as the staff were not any nicer, and the snotty midwife wasn't able to find the heartbeat for a good five minutes. Just as I was starting to panic and feel really upset, thankfully she did find it, and all seemed to be fine. I was shocked by how filthy the place was though - it really looked like it hadn't been cleaned in the 15 years since I was last there. I went to the loo before I left, and the loos were literally an inch deep in dirty water which had overflowed from the loo. Yuck, Yuck! The Sunday Times did say that this was the dirtiest labour unit in the UK when it did a survey a few years ago, but obviously that didn't prompt them into doing anything about it. Am so glad I am not planning on having the baby there!!!0 -
Morning all
Don't lurk/post for a couple of days & there's a new thread with 20 pages to catch up on!
Cream-crackered this morning, kept dozing & waking all night for some reason. 16 weeks today, still got nearly 5 weeks until FA scan - these last few weeks have really seemd to drag, maybe 'cos with all the others I was further on when I found out, so now feel like I should be more than 16 wks IYKWIM. When I'm lying still in bed I can feel bean wriggling now & then, which is good news - not had MS or other symptoms except bigger b00bs, so sometimes hard to feel it's real.
Not got child I childmind 'til next week, so need to get stuck in with blitzing house - although last night I did ALL the washing up before 8 pm - major feat in this place! :rotfl:90% of kitchen worktop hidden in junk, bathroom minging, ironing in piles, laundry bin full, cupboards overflowing, etc., etc.,....... According to calculator on pregnology site, I have 168 days to go, so if I do one tidying/cleaning/dejunking job a day, I might be nearly sorted by the time he/she arrives! :rotfl:
Right, off to get washed & dressed, toddlers with DS3 this morning. If I do enough work today, I've promised myself an evening of cross stitch 'cos tv's rubbish on Fridays.
See you all later - welcome to any new people I've missed the last few days, labour vibes/hugs & kisses to all in need xo.
