I'm not racing anyone either... I just want my baby... Any time this weekend would be ideal... Where's Tine? Wonder if all that allotment digging got her started today?
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

You were all talking about age gaps earlier. Jasmine will be 7 in November and we had said when I was pregnant with her that we would have 2 and quite close together, but OH got diagnosed with Chrons 4 weeks after she was born, spent about 7 months of the next year in and out of hospital,

MM - I was diagnosed with Crohn's in 2005 when DS was 2 and a half. Like your husband I was in and out of hospital, eventually having surgery, going back to work, then having to have more surgery. I finally went back to work in Feb 2006. I came off depo in April 2007, then finally got pregnant in October 2008, so I didn't really get a choice about the age gap!

pentasa should be absolutely fine for you and baby, it is only an immunosuppressent (sp?)
so it affects his immune system, not yours.

No OH was on steroids for a long time as well and they never mentioned not getting pregnant when he was on them, it wasnt till he was on the methotraxate that we were told not to try and to still not try for 6 months after he finished his course.
Its a cancer drug and they have quite a high chance of having a low sperm count after they have finished them as well !!!
Didnt work for OH !!! He thinks he has super sperm !!!!!! :)

ETA - you probably knew all that didnt you ???? sorry !!

    Haha :rotfl:
it's used for loads of things including cancer - but mainly rheumatoid arthritis and of course Crohn's.

They wont offer him surgery as an option as most of his ulcers are in his osopogus (sp?) and the join between the 2 intestines so the hardest place to operate !!
He has been off work for 4 years now and is only just getting to the point where he can control it.

I too am on Pentasa. I wasn't aware that it's an immunosuppressant? I was told it conditioned your bowel to keep you in remission for longer? Anyway the consultant says it's fine for me to be on it whilst pregnant!
