.. Elle - according to OH, this time next year I'll be pg again!!!

In the early weeks, when I had the most awful nausea (not sickness, just nausea), I remember saying that I didn't have a clue how anyone could cope with that and have another little one to look after. I literally could do nothing except lie on the sofa, extremely still and/or asleep.

Also, I really want to enjoy this one - like Helen was talking about, the 1:1 time etc. I know I'm going to have to go back to work, but I'd rather still have a year or two at least juggling just this one and work before adding another one to the mix. OH is keen to change jobs too and he could end up doing shift work (ideally!) so we want to see how that pans out :) Plus, I don't really fancy changing two lots of nappies at any one time! :o

    Evening ladies :)

Glad you've been talking about age gaps - DS is 6 and in year 1 at school. I think it's a nice gap as, like some of you said, it will give me time with the baby on my own whilst he's at school. My dad asked me tonight if that was it now, and I said I didn't know. The thing is, I'm 30 but DH is 45. So if I waited another 6 years he'd be 51 when the baby would be born! We've got 4 years before we're debt free, and I don't know whether we'd be able to afford a childminder for 2 in the meantime, as DH also pays maintenance for his 2 children from a previous relationship. He has 2 years left to pay for the 2, then another 2.5 years for the youngest.

I'm 33 weeks on Sunday, 2 more weeks at work then 5 weeks to wash babygros, sheets, pack my hospital bag etc! I had another growth scan on Thursday. We're definitely having a girl, and she's not breech anymore. The sonographer said she didn't think the baby had been breech for very long because sometimes breech babies can have an oval shaped head, and this one is perfectly normal.

Does anyone else have dreams about the birth? I've had them for 2 nights running and it's bugging me! I've got 7 weeks left, I don't want to be constantly thinking about it now!

I got a free trial at specsavers and stuck with them, currently pay £13 a month for my lenses (get 1 pair a month which lasts all month) and get half price glasses :) I've also just found out that i can claim free eye tests through work, and they go through specsavers too, so thats worked out perfect for me :)

edit: my free trial was keeping them for a month and going back after a month to see how i had gone on with them, so that seems loads better than vision express

I have been with specsavers for years now but everytime I need an eye test I've moved so its a different branch. I might ring the old one, get my prescription details then go to the one near work and see if I can wangle the free trial.
I did have the lenses each month, then reduced to buying them as and when and then a year ago just stopped altogether!!

Lolly - I quite enjoy being pg, if we could afford it I would be pg all the time!!!

searching, are the pains regular like contractions and lasting less than a minute each???

Otherwise, have a bath and relax, the pains should ease off a bit.

Glam, please consider the RLT. I have tried both tea and capsules in 3 of my pregnacies and the difference was dramatic! I down it warm as I don't like fruit teas.

    Hi Tara,

When you say about the difference, do you mean there is a difference between drinking the tea and taking the capsules, or do you mean there is a difference between drinking the tea/taking the capsules and not drinking the tea/taking the capsules? Sorry, am being a bit think tonight

Also, is it from 37 wks you're supposed to start on it?

Chopsticks, I think it's 34 weeks you can take them from... I forget now... Seems like ages since I started...

im only 7 weeks and now starting to struggle getting into my jeans, feel really uncomfortable, luckily i still have 1 pair which are a size bigger (from before i lost a bit of weight), so they should keep me going for a bit before i have to resort to maternity ones :)

I got abit disheartened when I started not fitting into my clothes anymore so soon! I recommend getting into maternity gear asap instead of going up sizes in normal clothes cos as soon as I did,I felt abit better as I was kind of in my normal size then still iyswim? Its all phycological really isn't it but it made a huge difference to my mood and oh they are sooooo comfy! I ordered a pair of the linen trousers from Peacocks online and I love them. They look just like 'normal' linen trousers but are very comfy.
love my little man he is amazing :j
