I found this quite amusing. About 12-15 months ago, I had a RoyalMail account online which I deposited £10 into. It had £2.50 left in it and was never used. A few weeks ago, I got an email saying as my account hasn't been active for 12 months, they'll be refunding the remaining money back onto my card. I just ignored it as that was when I had an Under 19's account with Lloyds TSB, which was closed back in January. The card I used for the royal mail deposit had also been changed a few times so the card was very much dead.

Anyway, I opened a silver account with Lloyds TSB a weeks ago, and to my amazement, I looked on internet banking this morning and there was £2.50 from Royal mail in my account.

Funny how neither the account number/sort code or card number match my new account, yet they still managed to get the money to me. :D

Random question...would the sub prime credit card peeps approve me if I have an active default and 2 DMP's listed on my file? The active default should also change to payment plan at the next update.

Hmmm, well i got the sub-prime cards with 2 defaults on my file (they'll drop of by August next year). I'm also dealing with a debt collection agency.

I also had about a dozen late payments over a 12 month period at the time i applied, but still got the cards.

Just my personal experience though, i'm sure the brainiacs will be along soon enough to advise .

How lovely to get an unexpected 'windfall'. You've got 2 more pieces of good luck to come your way. These things happen in 3's :T.

    Thanks guys.
Have applied for Aqua, Vanquis and Capital One.
Aqua was a straight out no. Will keep everything crossed for the other two.
