I spoke with Great Universal today re account request being declined and they said i was not on the electoral roll!!! . I vote, have credit cards, bank accounts and other catalogue accounts so how can this be? I'm also shown as being on the electoral roll on my CRA reports .

Thanks for encouraging me to challenge this decline guys, i would otherwise have accepted the decision and moved on :rolleyes:.

That's total cr*p what Great Universal told you, I wasn't on the Electoral Roll and they accepted me. Try requesting a catalogue from Littlewoods and see if they pre-authorise anything.

I was a Littlewoods customer up until a year ago, but i hadn't ordered for a while. When i did try to they said my account was closed and i'd have to re-apply. When i tried to re-apply i was told i couldn't and would need to contact CRA. I didn't bother after that

I'll check things with electoral register tomorrow.
