Hey Steven
My increases with Vanquis has been somewhat fast. I usually get an increase every 3/4 months. There was one period however where I got an increase 1 month after I just received an increase.
I usually make a big purchase on my Vanquis, around £400-600 and pay atleast £100 each month when the statement arrives. Then once the balance has cleared, I make another purchase and continue with that pattern. I believe this is why I've been getting increases so fequently.
The interest is quite high with Vanquis but I consider them to be a pretty good company, despite the rates. I've never had a balance over £700 partly because of the interest but Vanquis customer services has assured me that my rate will be gradually decreased over time.
I started with the standard blue card when I applied to Vanquis, but when my limit reached £2000, they sent me a gold card, which has absolutely no difference to the blue card. Same rates, 5% minimum payment etc. We’ve had to remove your signature. Elky,
what we're trying to find out is what order did the increments come in?
i.e. - £250 to £500 to £750 to £1200 to £1500 to £2000
get the idea?
Just seems the limit is really high for the time you held account...... although that said, the way you run it does seem good and shows you are good to pay outstanding debt etc off......2010 - year of the troll

I apologise. I read the comment wrong. I started with an inital limit of £250, then it was increased to £500, £1200, £1800, £2600 then £3200.
I don't understand why Vanquis is giving me these increases and Capital One isn't. I have never had an increase with Capital One and I've held that account for roughly the same amount of time. Never missed any payments, went over my limit on any sort of credit account. We’ve had to remove your signature.
