one of the branch managers asked me for the abbey fax number whilst i was in branch with paperwork to fax off.she found it after half hour.
i was only in there an hour.they had trouble understanding why i had brought paperwork in to fax off.internet had requested it.
bloody useless.

Spoke to first direct, they have said they received my application for bank account & credit card. They asked for my formal authority to check HSBC systems otherwise i'd have to send statements in. I said sure, knock yourself out!

They told me that they will post forms; I should sign and then when they have my signature they will do checks and account should be opened within 7-10 days from then.

I guess this means they don't do any processing until they have the forms back, i.e. they've not credit searched me yet..... is this right or have they already accepted me then if they are posting the forms - anyone have any idea's how this works?

Will keep you all updated on progress over the next couple of weeks then, until I get a 'Sorry to let you know' letter!

Think I must have broken a record here. Had my accessory card two days and already had a call from the fraud department to confirm some transactions.

Nope currently £160 available by my sums though got £80 worth of shopping from tesco ordered on it for tomorrow so that will bring it down
