    Yes the credit builder.

I have 2 defaults that are to be removed in Feb and May next year. Fully settled but they were for largish amounts. And one default that is still on that should have already been removed but it should be removed in the next few days.
    Thanks, well done then!

    Cheers.

I also have applied for Aqua and vanquis. Do you think it would be wise for me to cancel these? Or should I see if I get any of them too? Would 2-3 cards be better if I used them to improve my credit score? I probably wont get acceped for the others though.

They would haver already credit checked you so there is no point cancelling the application now. You WILL deffo be accepted for Vanquis and very likely Aqua if Capital One offered you a £1000 limit

I am still waiting to see if MBNA will still send me a card for my active account. Still getting the statements with a £0 balance and the credit limit still on even though I ripped my card up 5 years ago when I went on my DMP. Just need to reset my security details so I can try my luck and ask. Anyone else had any luck doing that?

The MBNA one never went into default. It has no mention of the DMP on it. I have just paid them a set amount each month. Just wondering how they see it.

Its got a balance of £0 btw. Just not been updated on experian. Everytime I spoke to MBNA I had to explain I was on a DMP and they never seemed to acknowledge that. Be funny if they did agree to send me a card though :)

You're playing a risky game matey - i'd not risk it but to be honest, just send a letter in asking for a new card cos you seem to have mislaid it..... thats the safest bet, then you can't get 'caught out' on the phone by some clued up [STRIKE]w@nker[/STRIKE] banker:confused:

What would I be risking? The account is paid off so I would just be using it again?

Are Capital One supposed to be bad then?

I already have a few complaints with them.

#1 No confirmation via email of my application
#2 Phone today at 3pm and no records for me. Spent ten minutes letting them search by postcode, name, dob etc and they couldnt find me. They advise me to re-apply online.
#3 I phone back after checking my experian report to see they have made a search so must have finished applying online correctly. This time they find me on the system and say im approved. Why no confirmation by email?

Hello all! Did you watch Martin programme at 8pm today? They were telling stuff we already know! I had to laugh at the guy who got bankrupt and after 6 years got an excellent credit history! It is not right, since there are people who have arrears on their accounts going back more than 6 years and their credit file is still impaired! They used Experian credit scores, but it does not mean anything as the policy depends on each individual whether to lend or not!
