I was asked to write my name and address on one of the till spit things about 2 months ago, I've had quite a few DTD's from this store before (large & small) and never been asked for my details before but the trout who asked me to write down my name & address this time was the same one who had given me DTD a few months before, she obviously remembered me as when I asked why, she said she was supposed to ask for it every time but sometimes forgets....hmmm yeh right!
The week after this I was standing at the CS desk with a friend, who was returning something, when the CS supervisor 'appeared from nowhere' and asked if I was ***** ****** (the name I had given for my DTD). I said 'who? no not me'.

Was that in D4N3ST0N3 by any chance? I've never found a DTD there. :(
  • Transformer Toys are £7.97 on offer with £5 off.
Lady in front of me was awaiting a price check as it was going through at £12.97. Put her right for next time but may be worth checking if you have scanners.

  • When I have been asked for details it has been on a till spit sort of thing that seems to be automatically produced with the refund slip.

    take care:)
  • Shreddies for breakfast and just tried the tomato soup for lunch. I have used the chicken soup before and liked it but really loving the tomato, so may have to concentrate on a few tins more:)It's really pale and doesnt look quite like heinz but tastes delicious.

I always have a nosey on here...but am usually too lazy or forget to print off the vouchers...or forget I've got them with me when I go shopping!!! But last night I read through and saw about the Barbie stuff...was going to Mr Ts today anyway....managed to pick up 1 car and 2 of the school Barbies...(did check but they didnt have anymore cars in stock)....went through at full price and got my £75 dtd back froma very nice chap on CS.....he said he was gutted as he had 3 nieces and wouldve loved these...but company policy is to 'report' it so that someone can go and sort the glitch asap.....he didnt seem that keen to report it though....think he was waiting for his next break to go and buy them himself cos he asked me if there were many left!!! I did offer to go and get some for him...and some more for me,but he told me it was fraudulent as I knew they were priced wrong!!! Oh well....got my daughters 4th birthday present sorted...and shes going to a party next week so thats the present sorted too!!! Excellent thread...am definately going to try again...in fact,I'moff to another local store tomorrow morning!!
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!
  • Well done Looby123 with your barbies:T I know they don't report them straightaway as my favourite saying to them if ever I get sussed on a glitch is "If you don't say anything I won't and then you can get some in your teabreak" and 9 times out of ten I would say that's what they do as they have often asked me where I've found things and if their's any left:rotfl:

I have a couple of times on the bigger items. I presume there is a £ amount over which they need this information.

BTW staff are not entitled to DTD.

Phone customer services whenever you don't get what you were expecting. I went into an extra and found both the school set and convertible, both with the half price stickers on. Both had SEL of 25.00. Went through at 25 each so paid up and went to CS. Girl (not a trout) went to check the shelf and came back saying it is advertised on the shelf as 25 but as the product had a sticker on I had been overcharged. She wrote on receipt "O/C" and called her manager. She then gave me only 25 back. I said it is supposed to be double and pointed to the board. She said no that's only if the SEL is wrong. I said no, pointed to the bit that says "or on the product" wand said it should be DTD. She said it was managers discretion and manager had said JTD. I stood firm and said, no it is your policy to refund DTD and called head office from the desk ( use 01208340800p0800505555# to dial using your inclusive minutes for free).

First guy I spoke to said no its JTD, but somehow we mysteriously got cut off, so called again and spoke to someone who actually knew what they were talking about who said yes it should be DTD regardless that the SEL was the price I was charged. Head office wanted to speak to the manager so he was called to the desk and they put him straight.

End result was all my money back, the 2 toys for nothing and an APOLOGY from the manager.
I miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.

Exactly Extesco, well done for sticking to your guns and getting your DTD. I had CS try to refund me and then put the sale through correctly at the weekend and I just said no, I'm entitled to DTD and that's what I want. They got a manager down and give him credit, straightaway he said give DTD. But if I'd have been your average joe bloggs who hasnt a clue about DTD I'd have been fobbed of with a refund.

We even had Shreddies without the milk for a snack whilst watching TV last night (helped to soak up the red wine) and the kids love them my youngest has even taken some to school for a snack today as they are not allowed crisps.

So I had to pop out at lunch to top up on them as we are down to our last 10 packs, even got 6 boxes of the frootz (3 for a £1) and a couple of cans of soup, sadly no free chickens though, but suspect they might have walked home if I left them in the car for the afternoon.

Another good thing out the shreddies and soup is that it's forced me to sort the garage out, I can't haud things anymore, there is food and drink which needs to be in there..Lol
