    Morning everyone,

Called at my local Mr T's last night. My DD needed some new hair straighteners so thought I'd have a look for a bargain. They had the Babyliss 230 (radiance I think) which were less than half price according to the out of date SEL. I thought great, put them in with my trolley but when at the checkout, they scanned at the SEL £40.85 (still a good price but no DTD!). I put my shopping in the car and went back to look for some others. Saw another OOD SEL on LCF Couture 230* straighteners in a White box. They too went through at the reduced price of £24.98 which was half price.

The SEL for both these were dated 2.8.11, so I thought I'd have been charged the full price.

Has anyone else come across this?

Yes 2 out of the 3 of my local have the same problem on Shavers, Straightners and hair dryers, which is a shame as my wife wants a new hair dryer, and a 4 slice toaster etc...

Strange isn't it. My store don't have scanners so it makes it more difficult.

I had a look for the Denby sets and they are all full price.

Well, I'll keep trying and let u know if I get lucky......
  • Hi all!
I haven't posted in a while, but thought I might share something that may or may not have been mentioned. The day before we change 3 for 2 labels, i.e last day of promotion, the new promotion also starts in some departments (i.e half price) SO by going in on the last day you can effectivley get yourself buy 1g2f on certain products, i.e it worked on fruit pastels and cornetto enigmas on monday!

Just to add to your advice if the store has a clothing or electricals desk don't take clothing or electricals to them as you normally have to return to those desks for refunds.
