  • i cant see what the problem is, most DtD finds are on out of date sels, and most people can spot those for themselves

Caz, I don't really shop at Mr T's and so hadn't previously followed this thread. I stumbled upon it a few weeks ago and decided to make the effort to spend some time trawling the shelves looking for something (anything!). I very much appreciate the efforts you and everyone else who has posted has made and whilst I've not found a first find to announce here I will definetly do so when I do find something special. I like the chat and hope that it remains

i think the bit of chat makes the thread friendly and you can sit and have a wee laugh at it :)
    :)£5 a day challenge april £338 /£150

you just have to think of it as a game, and whats the worst that can happen? the worst that can happen is that they refuse the DTD in which case you can just ask for a refund or phone cs at head office to sort it out,my knees knock and my neck goes blotchy every time i go to cs,as im always nervous when i find a misprice

Katie after you get your first DTD it is so much easier and most CS are nice, I am hooked and when I find 1 store with a DTD I check my other 3 local ones, I have had a couple of run in's with Duty Managers but after explaining to them how their double the difference policy works, which is normally just behind them, they hand over the cash, although 1 manager did insist on ringing head office as I brought 3 Ready steady cook pan sets and he only wanted to give me 1 DTD and 2 just the difference, the only other thing is to clear some room out to put all your finds, however when you compare the prices elsewhere you find Tesco's are selling products at double the price they are worth anyway. Go get those phones

Hi all, I got directed here by a moaner in Discussion Time.

I have hated Tesco for quite a while so will gladly look out for any stuff and post it on here. I used to play at Tescos when they had the old rules regarding misprices, I did not realise that it is game on again.

I live very close to a Tesco Homeplus (like a home store) do the glitches work in there?

Can anyone direct me to a post that explains how it works and the best way to find likely misprices.

On the subject of people running off to post elsewhere, I think it is incredibly selfish, they were newbies once and if previous members had been so selfish then they would probably not got into it.

It is easy the DTD double the difference is based on the SEL shelf edge label and the actual price charged, so if the SEL says £10 and you get charged £25 at the till the DTD is £30 (£15 overcharge x 2)

Most of the DTD come from out of date offers the offers are normally on a yellow SEL and have an expiry date on them, when they expire staff don't always change them or the product is in the clearence section or in 2 places and they only change 1 set of SEL, the main posters on this thread give very good information on expired offers, but if you have the time or fancy something on offer you can just keep an eye out on the label to see when the offer ends.

The main ones i look for are the better than half price deals, because not only do you get your product free but they pay you to take it out of the store, obviously if MR T kept all the SEL's upto date this thread would not be alive, but as the duty manager said to the phone shop supervisior it is all about standards and we must make sure the correct labelling is always displayed, I didn't want to point out the homeware and the kitchen dept and electricals were as bad. I hope that helps
