I'm still here too
School hols are always hectic and we are having a wee few dramas but ho hum, so is life!
I have a feeling one's cards are being marked so I don't loiter at the old scanning machines like I used to (but I am still searching in a much less conspicuous manner!!!).
Thanks for everyones reports and finds. Esp happychappy! Nice one!:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
Grocery Spend Weekly Challenge (Sat-Fri):£30.50/£400 -
Sorry i wont be joining the facebook group. I am a moneysaver and will continue to be right here.
I will continue to post my dtd finds here.
We used to have a Boots thread on here which got disbanded because of loads of catty remarks and what not. People did another private forum and a facebook one but both went tits up. It didn't work out.
I like to have a brief look on here but I get ever so confused. I can remember the time when people only posted actual dtd deals on here and did not chat, and there were like 10 new posts a week and no more than that. Good old days they were.0 -

When I "found" my prize last week I went so red and flustered at the CS desk that I ended up with a headache from the stress. Still it was a buzz that I would like to repeat again without hopefully making myself ill in the process0 -

Arghhhhhhhhhh! Sorry, for the first time in ages I've missed out on a DTD! PM me which store and I'll let you know. If it's the bigger of the two in our town then I was fairly sure I'd check all the phones. If it was the smaller one then I rarely risk a DTD in that store as no scanner to check.
What you need to do next time is to allow the item to go through and don't let on it's dearer than the SEL. Once you've paid you act dumb, walk back to the shelf, double check you did indeed lift the correct item then go to CS and explain you think you were overcharged. Personally I generally go with them if they go to check the SEL just to make sure there's no funny business.
As for this thread, it's gone very quiet and I'm not surprised. All this talk of you should only be posting DTDs and not discussing anything has made people wary of posting. It got bad a month ago and now it's gone downhill again.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. If this thread goes the way of only posting DTDs then I for one wouldn't be participating. I've helped out on here and have more than done my fair share yet people still expect me (and others obviously) to do all the hard work while they take advantage.
Please would someone start a plain aul DTD thread (no chat, no discussion just a nice shiny list of items for all the lazy ones to take with them shopping) then see how many people post in it compared to this one.
And as for the good aul days of only posting DTDs, that was back in the good aul days when no-one thought to actually go looking for DTDs, rather it was the odd post about innocent overcharges. Since the tactics changed this thread has gone viral and were it not for everyone chatting and discussing their finds or what could be coming up next then very few people on here would be getting things like phones, Denby or RSC pans. Personally I'd say be grateful for being given the info for free instead of whining that it's too hard to read through the posts. You could always skim the posts and just look for products/descriptions/prices.
Right I've had enough. All the ungratefulness is getting to me.0 -

Caz, I don't really shop at Mr T's and so hadn't previously followed this thread. I stumbled upon it a few weeks ago and decided to make the effort to spend some time trawling the shelves looking for something (anything!). I very much appreciate the efforts you and everyone else who has posted has made and whilst I've not found a first find to announce here I will definetly do so when I do find something special. I like the chat and hope that it remains :cool:0
