BEEN TO TESCO TODAY AND BROUGHT A 4 PACK BT TELEPHONE XB2500 (B/C 5016351613450)
OOD SEL SAID USUALLY £139.99 BETTER THAN HALF PRICE £59.99..AT CHECKOUT I WAS CHARGED £129.99. I KEPT QUIET PAID AND THEN WENT TO CS FOR A REFUND. A MANAGER WAS CALLED BECAUSE IT WAS HIGH VALUE. THE MANAGER TOLD THE SA TO DO A REFUND OF OF THE DIFFERENCE OF £70, SO I SAID DO I NOT GET DTD THEN, THE SA TROUT SAID NO NOT ON ITEMS OF THAT VALUE BUT THE MANAGER PIPED UP AND SAID YES THATS OK. SO I WAS REFUNDED £140..

    I EVEN USED A £5 OF £40 SPEND WHEN PAYING.SO I ONLY REALLY PAID £124.99..

SO TESCO PAID ME £15.01 TO TAKE THE PHONES AWAY AND GAVE ME 5p OFF PER/LITRE OF PETROL..

It's probably irrelevant as the SEL would have been removed after the DTD was issued :)

Hartley's orange flavoured jelly is 19p at the moment. All of the other flavours are 36p.

It seems there is lots of confusion over DTD, whereby people are spending more than they realise, the refund you get is double the difference of the higher price you paid.
Eg item marked at £50 scans at £70 you are refunded 2 lots of £20.
£70 minus £40 means you will have paid £30 for the £50 item.
Just remember to always deduct the DTD from the higher price you paid not from the SEL price.
If I'm right items are only free or you are paid to take away if the item is discounted by half price or more and the discount doesn't kick in.

Your last sentence is probably best for those that struggle with maths. If the item is marked on the shelf as HALF PRICE or BETTER THAN HALF PRICE and the SEL is out-of-date, AND it scans at the higher price, then it's free or you're paid to take it away.

These are by far the best ones to look out for.

Just to let you all know that the febreze glitch is still working but it only works in express stores. Just bought 6 of the fresh linen. Starting total on receipt is £18.72 then it deducts £6.72 which is correct but then it deducts another £6.72 so total came down to £5.28 for 6:T Think people may have been trying it in Extras where it does'nt work.

Just been to Tesco Kingsway Dundee. Phillips fidelo Docking station SEL £44.97, save £35.00. got it price checked at a cashdesk as there are no scanners there came up at £79.97, therefore DTD of £70 refunded no problem. The SEL was out of date on the 12th, this was in the seasonal aisle, but I think the SEL was removed.Lovely docking sation for £9.97!!!!! There were others on the shelf.
There was also a chrome two slice toaster, SEL was £12.97 save £6 offer original price £18.97ended 12th also - think it was a Tefal make possibly a DTD, meaning the nice toaster would cost you £6.97 - I didnt buy these as no need for a toaster now or in the near future so they are still there if anyone in the area is looking for one!
