That's really not on! I don't know about you but I would hate someone taking my picture like I was some criminal. You may not like them but they're not doing anything wrong and deserve to be treated the way you would want to be treated. If you feel they're being unprofessional make a note of their name by all means. 'QUOTE0 -
Hi there
Im a newbie and have been reading the pages like crazy. Just wanted to know how do you know when an offer is going to expire?
Some 'offers' have been known to be extended with either a new SEL or simply no price change. For example, in my local they have loads of cameras with some out of date SELs. However, upon looking more closely, the SELs on the display models were correct with new offer expiry dates whereas the SELs underneath the security boxes were out of date.
You have to be careful when looking around. Pick a busy time of the day when you'll get lost in the muddle and have a good look at an SEL whilst showing some interest in the item. You will see in small print the expiry date. Now make a mental note of anything you're interested in then check back once the expiry date has passed. If the old SEL is still there then that's a good start. The next step is to price check (not at a checkout if possible). If you can't find one of the in-store price check scanners then you may have to chance your arm at the checkout and attempt to purchase the item. If it scans at above the SEL price SAY NOTHING! If it scans at the SEL price or below, say you've changed your mind or that you didn't realise it was that expensive.
If you've managed to purchase a nice DTD item, my personal trick is to walk back to where I bought the goods from and double check I'm correct (as if I'd be wrong!). If you go straight from till to checkout you could well get trouted especially if you've used a self service till.
The most common DTDs at present are the Mega Bloks (SEL of £30, scans at £30 but £15 sticker on the box) which work out free and the stripey glasses which when bought in 4s work out at 23p/25p each.
